update on my Christmas cards for the KTers

I got 6 of them back today....it says I need 39Â¢ more for each card.

It says because of oversized envelopes.

They are NOT overly big...just regular Christmas card. But I tucked a little something in it and ask for them to be hand canceled. I imagine that is why. I took them to a postal station and ask for them to be weighed. They were all under the amount for the 41Â¢ stamps.

I mailed out about 25 yesterday and have about 10 more ready to go today. I sure hope I don't get them all back or that you get them with a 31Â¢ due on them.

Let me know if you recieve them tomorrow or the next day , okay???

Then I'll know if I can try sending out the other ones I have.

The one's they sent back they got the envelopes all dirty....arrrrgggg

I got mine yesterday, Patti, no postage due. Thanks for your little insert. Very pretty, and so thoughtful.
I've lost power here 3 times since 7:30, due to the ice. I hope I'm on for good now.

Good Leslie...I'm thinking they all went in together and some postal worker didn't want to mess with hand canceling...so he just took the rest and sent them back.

I'm going to put the back out again....lol...dirt and all...

Mine are down now too, but I save them and they will go up again next year. I treasure all that I have received from KTers over the years. The upstairs doors are pretty full now with cards but there are a lot of doors down in my basement and I live down in the dungeon since the computer and craft area are downstairs. I absolutely love all the cards I have received.

Scissors, please send them out by the first week of Dec. For those in France and Australia, it will take at least two weeks to receive them. Those to or from Canada will take at least a week to arrive. Did I remember to add my address to the list? I know I had to add it to Pattico's and Kathsgardn's when I sent them. Hope to get mine out next day or so. Got involved with other projects. to my Canadian friends, one of the countries I collect stamps for is Canada. Maybe next year let me know, and I can send you some of my extra ones. You may have to add several together to make up the amount. Not sure if this is legal to send them to you or not, but I don't see a problem Marie

Can you take them back to the post office and have them rechecked? I would.. I know my PO doesn't handstamp anymore. One year I had them run them thru the tape machine just because. I know I put enough on mine but let me know too if it needs more. I know I bought 69Â¢ stamps for Canada and one for about 90Â¢ for France

The post office has some new rules and regulations. The person here measures everything and if they cannot fit through the slit, she makes us pay extra postage. But in the larger post offices, they just take the items, sometimes measure, most of the time don't and somewhere along the way it "looks" different so they just reject it.
