Has anyone seen or heard the show 'Little People' is going off TV

I have always loved watching this tv show.So after seeing and hearing they will no longer be on tv,I am so sad.I just loved watching this show.I wish them all the Best of life.

If I have this wrong please tell me.I hope I am wrong.,I try looking it up but my computer stays sick and slow.It takes so long looking up anything. We need a new one. Hopeful Santa is bringing me a new one.Thanks for any news anyone can share with me.Judy

"I recently was hired to buy food from Sam's Club and bring it to a local Adult Ed program..." On whose credit card went the food from Sam's? If it went on yours and you paid for it, and presumably reimbursed for it of course, seems to me you are in control of it. If they gave you the money ahead of time to pay for the food (or a credit card, gift card or something similar), then it seems that it's their food and you're services are to pickup, deliver, setup and cleanup and if they get food poisoning from mishandling, it's their problem. The contract seems pretty clear and you did what you contracted to do. I don't think a bridge is necessarily burnt and as said if it is, then you don't want anything more to do with them anyway. There are certain groups of people with whom I don't care to work. My only other suggestion is to always get it in writing, have them put their desires in writing. Maybe if you're going to do this more often, put together an info sheet or questionnaire asking things like how long/what hours do you want me there? What to do with leftovers? If client is to keep them do they have proper food handling conditions? I'd also write into the contract that they're responsible for any mishandling, and specify food poisoning in there to get their attention. A little info on these topics could be very helpful in clearing up confusion. Maybe if they understood why you're apprehensive about leaving food out that long they wouldn't be upset. When I was a wedding photographer, I learned early on to have a contract, even with friends. I wrote into it that in the event of interference I could walk out and all sums are due immediately, that they had to specify people they wanted photographed and more. The one time it saved me a lot of hassles and money. The bride's mother threatened to sue because I didn't photograph a long-lost uncle who suddenly appeared. I knew nothing of him or certainly would have. But having the contract, between the bride, groom and myself eliminated the mother's ability to interfere. Have it in writing. Formal contracts aren't always required as long as the understanding is in writing and agreed by the parties. Handle it in a businesslike manner and you're going to be better off in the long run. Sounds to me like they wanted to deal with you on the "good buddy" system and you wanted to be professional. I think you made the right choice and if they're mad, let them be mad.

Loved "The Castle" although I think the company that released it for the US, felt they needed to dub over bits of it so that Americans could understand it. Also from "down under", an off-beat love story: Eagle vs Shark and quite possibly the best comedy about Austrailan lawn bowling: Crackerjack (from 2002) And from France: "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis" a comedy about a postal worker who gets transferred to "the sticks" in Northern France.

Well, I found Doc Martin on Youtube last night, flopped around a bit until I figured out how to watch the pieces of those episodes in order, now may try to find hulu. My education continues. And, instead of retiring at 10pm it was midnite, because I was watching the episodes. It is a great show, low key, but Cornwall reminds me of the Irish countryside as well. If anything, the Irish roads are even narrower, and all those huge tour buses frightened me. Plus, there were rock walls up to the edge of the pavement. I loved it. Where else can you feel like driving in a Grand Prix at 30 miles per hour? Uhhh, kilometres.......cannot wait to go back before I'm so old they won't rent me a car. Our house had just about no places to sit and relax, or do the nicer activities us retired folks enjoy. So we added a 10 x 12 deck. Then enclosed the 10 x 10 porch to make a Lexan-walled sunporch, to house my parrots and allow DH a place to read and watch the outdoors. Then we bumped out the back bedroom to have a walkin closet and a bathtub, because we'd already put in a really tiny 2nd bathroom in the space formerly occupied by 2 tiny closets. I figured we could do without the linen closet and coat closet if it gave us a second crapper and a walkin shower. The footprint of the house, what was under the old roofline, was only increased by the closet/tub bumpout, about 160 sq feet, so the real construction cost for changing the roofline was minimal. However, we did match the stucco exterior to what already existed. Marti, if you are thinking of pushing a bedroom out to the edge of the shallow front gallery porch, I'd begin studying the sunshine it gets there. Quite possibly you could turn that wall into a window seat area with storage on either side so that no change of roofline is required. That is the same way they do attic rooms with reduced headroom where the roofline slopes down. If you are not paying for roofline changes, why not think about doing the same to both of those front bedrooms? I would not want to make the "guest rooms" (the kids' old bedrooms) too cozy and spacious, if you do not want them moving back home. Our neighbors up north have the problem of a son approaching 40 who has never moved out, sleeps all day and works in his room all night designing computer games. This is very restrictive of the parents activities. I just could not do it for long.

Thanks for the feedback! the good news is that I love it, DH loves it, and it is something we can afford. Now I just need to decide pattern / shape. I'll be back looking for advice when I get that far! Sankaty, I don't have any other pictures but I got the sample board at Sunderland Tile and Stone. They gave me a brochure from Westminster Ceramics to show sizes, and it shows 2" square, 1" square, 3/4", 1x2 bricks, octagon, hex, and harlequin as the sizes and shapes. I've seen online 2x4 bricks also. As noted above, it appears that jade is the same as / also known as / very similar to ming green marble. The Ann Sacks ming green is very green, whereas this jade sample i have has just very soft hints of green. It is a greyish blue kind of green if that makes sense. Anita

Little People, Big World is going off. Amy said the kids are grown up now and they need to move on.

The Little Couple will still be on.

Gotta give Matt credit. His goofy ideas seem to always work out, and he will try, and succeeds at anything he tackles, if it is driving big equipment or shooting off pumpkins.

I've watched the show from the very first season, always excited to see a new episode; but during promos for the show, I hear them mention things that would lead one to believe this is the last season.

Matt and Amy are the producers now, don't think that has always been or at least I've just now started to notice in the credits. Probably one of Matt's ideas to take the reins and have more say in the show. ha.

I like Little Couple better too. Don't always get to see it as I works nights sometimes and I never remember to record it.

Yep, last season for the little people. It's not the same anymore and really hard to keep an audience. The kids are older now and Matt and Amy just don't seem to be on the same page. I'm with everyone else, we much prefer the Little Couple, she is just great. They are trying to have a baby now and building a custom home. I think this is setting up to be a good show for a couple years.

I used to Love Little People, Big World but it got old and with the kids gorwing up and heading out, I think it's time for them to move on. I do like Little Couple, they live in the same city as me and Jenn works at Texas Childrens hospital. I volunteer at Ronald McDonald House and she was there one day that I volunteered. She's so nice. I adore them

not sure how valid this is but I have read it on several websites when I did a google search, that Matt has had some alcohol related problems. Remember a while back they did that one show where he got stopped by the police and had to go to court for it? Supposedly it has progressed. I think he has changed quite a bit on the show and maybe that is what was contributing to his and Amy's problems and why the kids, especially Zac, were seeming to stay away from him.

I have watched it from the beginning so hate to see it go, would have liked to watch Molly and Jacob grow up too. I wish them all well they are such cute kids.

I honestly don't mean this to be derogatory or to rain on anyone's parade, but I don't really understand the draw of either of those shows. What is the interest? They are just normal people who happen to be a different size than most. They have struggles and joys and love just like we all have struggles and joys and love. I can't imagine that people are drawn to watch the shows just to see little people, but isn't that the only thing that sets them apart from most of us?

That's a genuine question, really. Would the shows be just as interesting if they were regular people of normal size going through everyday life? As far as I can tell in the few times I've watched either one that their size is the only thing that makes them different from you and me.

As you can probably tell, I'm not much on so-called "reality shows". But I'd really be interested to hear what it is about these 2 specifically that draws you in.

I've thought for the past couple of seasons that they should go to 2 or 3 hour long specials a year at this point. Maybe they'll consider doing that instead of going off the air completely. And most of the commercials refer to this being their 'final season'.
