Has anyone seen or heard the show 'Little People' is going off TV

I have always loved watching this tv show.So after seeing and hearing they will no longer be on tv,I am so sad.I just loved watching this show.I wish them all the Best of life.

If I have this wrong please tell me.I hope I am wrong.,I try looking it up but my computer stays sick and slow.It takes so long looking up anything. We need a new one. Hopeful Santa is bringing me a new one.Thanks for any news anyone can share with me.Judy

I don't imagine she would mind me sharing her email of what she has been up to. Here it is... "we are fine, LOL yes, been crazy busy here, as usual LOL my 2 are growing like crazy!! LOL i started winter sowing late, so i "winter sowing" them in the house!! it started out as an accident! Imagine that!! LOL and i have some tomato sprouts and a bell pepper sprout so far! LOL boy am i late this year!! LOL still home schooling the kids, and we got a new puppy, she's a yorkie, she won't get any bigger than 4 lbs. funny thing about that, we have a samoyed husky, a chihuahua (we rescued from a puppy mill) and now her, all different sizes!@! LOL and they all 3 play together well. **big smile** How has this winter been treating you? i hope well!! **big smile** has spring shown any signs of showing up in your neck of the woods?? i sure hope so :') it sure was nice to hear from you, that's for sure!! **big smile** i'll have to check in at the conversation side sometime. once in a great while i do LOL and sometimes just as a lurker LOL seeing if there's anything new going on. I just emailed HGTV for more gardening shows. I agree with all the past years comments on the stupid, impractical stuff they have now. Its not about growing, its about looking good. Last year watched one that would only tell you how to take the plant out of the plant pot!-dah????? are gardeners THAT STUPID? Will set my TIVO up to tape so I won't miss. Don't know how I can live without TIVO. I haven't watched a commerical in 3 years. I have a dual channel in Liv Rom, and single in bedroom. There is so much junk on TV for the older crowd, and anything resembling intellegent there is 10 minutes of comericals for a half hour show, and 20 minutes for an hour show. When are they going to get the message that those that can afford it are running to TIVO. There is also something new that eliminates the commericals automatically--then what will they turn to? Back to gardening, this is depressing me! Just planted some late sunflowers for fall color after cutting back alot of the periennals that have stopped bloom. We finally have had nearlly a week of rain off and on to revive everything including weeds! I timed it just right and planted 4 shrubs that I was holding for the right time, and they are now nicely soaked for a week. Can't believe the number of gardeners there are here at the forums, so we can influence what is on TV!

"I recently was hired to buy food from Sam's Club and bring it to a local Adult Ed program..." On whose credit card went the food from Sam's? If it went on yours and you paid for it, and presumably reimbursed for it of course, seems to me you are in control of it. If they gave you the money ahead of time to pay for the food (or a credit card, gift card or something similar), then it seems that it's their food and you're services are to pickup, deliver, setup and cleanup and if they get food poisoning from mishandling, it's their problem. The contract seems pretty clear and you did what you contracted to do. I don't think a bridge is necessarily burnt and as said if it is, then you don't want anything more to do with them anyway. There are certain groups of people with whom I don't care to work. My only other suggestion is to always get it in writing, have them put their desires in writing. Maybe if you're going to do this more often, put together an info sheet or questionnaire asking things like how long/what hours do you want me there? What to do with leftovers? If client is to keep them do they have proper food handling conditions? I'd also write into the contract that they're responsible for any mishandling, and specify food poisoning in there to get their attention. A little info on these topics could be very helpful in clearing up confusion. Maybe if they understood why you're apprehensive about leaving food out that long they wouldn't be upset. When I was a wedding photographer, I learned early on to have a contract, even with friends. I wrote into it that in the event of interference I could walk out and all sums are due immediately, that they had to specify people they wanted photographed and more. The one time it saved me a lot of hassles and money. The bride's mother threatened to sue because I didn't photograph a long-lost uncle who suddenly appeared. I knew nothing of him or certainly would have. But having the contract, between the bride, groom and myself eliminated the mother's ability to interfere. Have it in writing. Formal contracts aren't always required as long as the understanding is in writing and agreed by the parties. Handle it in a businesslike manner and you're going to be better off in the long run. Sounds to me like they wanted to deal with you on the "good buddy" system and you wanted to be professional. I think you made the right choice and if they're mad, let them be mad.

Im here, Im here. I have been lurking. Thank you so much for thinking of me. My daughter did come last Friday evening as she had met my middle daughter in DC and rode to my house with her (middle daughter and her husband and baby). We had a nice dinner (miracle because I don't cook) then youngest daughter stayed overnight. I think she looked good although her sister said she looked "just ok". The next day we went to the eye dr. for exam and glasses. When the glasses came in my daughter and her "boyfriend" came to my office to pick them up. We have talked once or twice and I am cautiously optomistic. Im almost afraid to believe she is clean because I don't think I can take the impact it would have if she isn't. She answered an ad for a radio station doing a variety of things but has not heard from them. Im sure there were hundreds of applicants. So, she is really not doing anything during the day and I so want to just say to her"get off your behind and find a job". I could go on and on but Im trying hard to limit the time I spend obsessing about what if and if only etc. On a positive note I have invited 5 single lady friends to a luncheon at my house this Sunday. I am trying to enjoy each occasion as it arises I so miss doing special things for the little holidays. When my husband was alive I always decorated etc for every holiday. I even bought new red dishes for this Sunday. Thank you again for thinking of us and I just know your prayers have helped. Satine

I heard this was their last season too. Mom & dad just don't act like they are getting along or agreeing on things anymore.

Little People, Big World is going off. Amy said the kids are grown up now and they need to move on.

The Little Couple will still be on.

Gotta give Matt credit. His goofy ideas seem to always work out, and he will try, and succeeds at anything he tackles, if it is driving big equipment or shooting off pumpkins.

I've watched the show from the very first season, always excited to see a new episode; but during promos for the show, I hear them mention things that would lead one to believe this is the last season.

Matt and Amy are the producers now, don't think that has always been or at least I've just now started to notice in the credits. Probably one of Matt's ideas to take the reins and have more say in the show. ha.

I like Little Couple better too. Don't always get to see it as I works nights sometimes and I never remember to record it.

Yep, last season for the little people. It's not the same anymore and really hard to keep an audience. The kids are older now and Matt and Amy just don't seem to be on the same page. I'm with everyone else, we much prefer the Little Couple, she is just great. They are trying to have a baby now and building a custom home. I think this is setting up to be a good show for a couple years.

I used to Love Little People, Big World but it got old and with the kids gorwing up and heading out, I think it's time for them to move on. I do like Little Couple, they live in the same city as me and Jenn works at Texas Childrens hospital. I volunteer at Ronald McDonald House and she was there one day that I volunteered. She's so nice. I adore them

not sure how valid this is but I have read it on several websites when I did a google search, that Matt has had some alcohol related problems. Remember a while back they did that one show where he got stopped by the police and had to go to court for it? Supposedly it has progressed. I think he has changed quite a bit on the show and maybe that is what was contributing to his and Amy's problems and why the kids, especially Zac, were seeming to stay away from him.

I have watched it from the beginning so hate to see it go, would have liked to watch Molly and Jacob grow up too. I wish them all well they are such cute kids.

I honestly don't mean this to be derogatory or to rain on anyone's parade, but I don't really understand the draw of either of those shows. What is the interest? They are just normal people who happen to be a different size than most. They have struggles and joys and love just like we all have struggles and joys and love. I can't imagine that people are drawn to watch the shows just to see little people, but isn't that the only thing that sets them apart from most of us?

That's a genuine question, really. Would the shows be just as interesting if they were regular people of normal size going through everyday life? As far as I can tell in the few times I've watched either one that their size is the only thing that makes them different from you and me.

As you can probably tell, I'm not much on so-called "reality shows". But I'd really be interested to hear what it is about these 2 specifically that draws you in.

I've thought for the past couple of seasons that they should go to 2 or 3 hour long specials a year at this point. Maybe they'll consider doing that instead of going off the air completely. And most of the commercials refer to this being their 'final season'.
