Did that person just pull them up by their heads? The whole time I was watching I thought, they're gonna drown.

I've seen other videos of water births and infant water massages, so I wasn't worried about that. I don't think they were pulled up by their heads; I'm sure nothing dangerous was done to those babies. I thought the video was beautiful.

How odd to see this posted on the day my twin grands turned 11. They were C-section preemies, so straight to the isolettes. But this also brought back memories of my youngest son. I had a Leboyer delivery and after I held him, he was placed in a tub of water. It was the best, calmest delivery (of 6) I had.

At first I thought they were those Reborn dolls! They don't look quite human. They must have been cesarean babies or they would no longer be clinging to each other or have such perfectly shaped heads. I love how one has such a head of dark hair and the other is paler. Interesting.

Interesting. I thought too they must have been Cesarean, but then why were they in water if not a vaginal birth? It made me uncomfortable.

I thought it was great it was almost like a view of them in the womb and how they probably interacted with each other. It was a warm water bath, they were well supporting the heads above water, they did a beautiful job. This is something that the mother likely could not see at the time of birth, since it does appear to be cesarean, so through this video she can enjoy it forever and so can they.

Raven, you've expressed my exact thoughts from beginning to end. I thought it was fascinating.

Okay, I am better with this when I found out they were a few days old and were still in the hospital when this was done. It's a special technique that was developed to put new babies in to mimic the womb, and they say maybe not to do this at home. I guess it's a special little tub. But I'm sure people will.

These are fraternal twins, so they would not have "shared the same tub" in utero. Each would have had his/her own amniotic sac. Still an interesting, fascinating video.

It was rather interesting but I kept thinking, I sure hope the room is very hot or they will be freezing as they're swung in and out of the water!

That's what had me confused. Clearly they were fraternal twins and would not have been holding on to each other as they would have been in their own sac. I had thought it was taken at birth. Do we know the sex of the babies? They'll enjoy watching this some day.

If these babies were a few days old, I would have expected them to have their eyes open, or at least blink a time or two.

They played the video on the local news station and the reporter said that the twins were brother and sister and that they were a few days old.

I loved the video, the babies looked so peaceful. At first I thought they were Newborn dolls too which I find oddly disturbing. I think I've watched ti 4 or 5 times - it's mesmerizing.

Maybe it was meant as some sort of a bonding experience for the babies? To give them the same sort of bonding that identical twins might have had in the amniotic sac? I did notice an ID band on the dark haired baby's ankle so they were handled after birth before going into the water bath. Very interesting. I saw how their noses and mouths were carefully kept above water so there was no danger of either of them choking or inhaling water. I thought it was interesting, sweet, and not disturbing at all (to me).

I once saw a video of a newborn being bathed so nice and peacefully that way with his/her head/scalp under running water like that and it was just like this one, only with one baby and not twins. I don't think its uncommon to bathe a newborn like that. And with twins, well why not together!

I enjoy seeing Martha Sugalski (anchor for FL tv news) on facebook who had triplets in July. The 2 boys are identical twins and they have a triplet sister. Its sooooo much fun to see their pix and keep up with their progress! But to see the boys napping together, holding hands in their sleep, etc., is just beautiful :)
