I think she'll like t his, I do!

My friend and I have been close friends for 10 years, this coming Feb, so I wanted to give her something special for Christmas, and I found it.

The WIllows figurines

This is the one I bought: Two Alike

Willow Tree Angels and Figurines are cast in wood-look resin from the original carving and then painted by hand. Each Willow Tree design is balanced between simplicity and detail making this a treasured artwork.

I love the Willow Tree figurines! I have several..and I've given several!

Andy thinks they're hideous..because they don't have faces! lol (he gave me almost all of the ones I have)

I too, like these little statues, Glenda, perhaps you should get one for yourself as well, to remind you of your treasured friendship

That is nice Glenda. One of my dear friends gave one to me after Glen passed away. I keep it out with my other angels I have.

My Mom also collects these, but usually she receives them as gifts.

Charlee..I wonder if you have the same one I got when my husband passed away. She's the "Angel of Remembrance" and hse's holding sprigs of Rosemary.(Rosemary's symbolic meaning is Remembrance) This is like the one I have.

Thank You,Glenda! My sister gave it to me when Ronnie died. It stood beside the Guest Book at the viewing.

I think she will be very happy! Both my DD's have them also, and both think they are very special angels!

I love the Willow Tree figurines too, and I know your dear friend will love that one. I gave my daughter the mother/daughter one and my son-in-law gave me the one holding the birds, since we feed so many birds.

The one I bought is named Two Alike.

I didn't buy two, that's the way they came, and why I like it so much.

Put me down as another Willow Tree fan.

I have the angel holding a tea pot, in honour of the thousands of pots of tea I've made and enjoyed!

I gave my blue-bird hosting friend the girl with her arms outstretched with two-three blue birds perched on them.

We also have three of the little wall-hanging/placques. One shows a boy kneeling down and hugging his dog, and two with girls. One girl is with a Baby Harry and one with a Big Boy Harry! LOL

I love them. Redfeather gave me one when she came to my house last year w/ Nita's Texas Tour. One of my BFFs gave me one after I carried her to all her chemo treatments. That's so special when somebody gives you one for a reason--more fun than buying them for yourself.

Glenda, I think that is the perfect gift for your friend.

    Good job.

    Very thoughtful gift, Glenda.
I have quite a few of the Willow Tree angels. I even got some in KT Christmas exchange one year.
DD gave me the Mother-Daughter one several years ago on Mother's Day.

I was given one that is a plaque. It's for friendship that has two gals sitting face to face, with their knees up and feet touching. Looks like they are talking.
I like the one you have also.

That's a ncie one. I have almost 30 Willow Tree Angels. I don't have them all on display, many are Christmas ones that I only put out for Christmas. I also have the Willow Tree nativity set. I really love the simple design.

Denny and I got one on our 40th Anniversary...

But just recently our ggson bumped into the table it sat on, it fell off and broke into too many pieces to try to put it back together.

I was sad about it, but he was so sweet...he picked up some of the pieces and brought it to me saying " I'm sorry grandma...I broke this".

He could have just ignored it or tried to hide it.

I'd love to have another one to replace it.

It came with a note from my cousin Keith who could be with us on that day, because of health issues. The note was so special I kept it folded and tucked under one of the arms.

    I think she'll love it.

I think it's perfect for a friend gift. I like that they have no faces. Years ago someone told me that Angels have no faces because they don't pass judgement.
That would certainly be true about best friends as well, so in my opinion it is completely appropriate.

I had no idea these figurines were so popular. I had looked at them the day before and left without buying.

Then I went to another store, yesterday, their collection was larger.

Then I found THE one and I'm really pleased.

Thanks for all your responses. Now I'm completely satisfied with mine.

Bumpkin, mine is very similar except she's holding a rose and has dark hair. That's interesting to know abt the rosemary.

Lovely gift. I have some Christmas angels that I received as gifts and they hold a special place in my family room during the holidays.

    She will cherish it!
