They have the broadest range of authority of all Federal law enforcement agencies and work in virtually every Federal law enforcement endeavor. U.S. marshals also track and apprehend Federal fugitives. Our son has gone as far as Bangkok to bring back a prisoner, he used to travel a lot more than he does now. It is a political appointment.
