Thank you for your concern, Batya. It's nice to be missed! It's true, I haven't been feeling too spry lately, but I still pop in from time to time as a lurker. I guess you could say I just haven't felt up to answering questions that I've answered umpteen times before!

Hey everybody, I'm OK. Been having some little health problems again, but still breathing. I retired from my job the end of April, so I've really been busier than ever. Don't know where I ever found the time to go to that office every day. I get to do that thing I always dreamed about, walk around in the morning with my coffee and look at what's blooming in my garden. Boy Howdy!! It sure is worth waiting and working for. Sylvia I can't find your number in my phone or I would have called you. I'm sure I had it before, but I've had a string of bad luck with cell phones. Did you know you can't put them in the washer? They're so flimsy! We're going down to Houston for treatment next week and will be back on Wednesday. I'll post over in the conversations side and let yall know how it's going. My plumerias are blooming. The snapdragons are hnaging in. Daylilies are getting into this hot weather and the weeds in the rose garden are going wild. There's a pink calla lily that I got at one of the swaps that is the most gorgeous thing I ever saw. I have some delphineums up and blooming and the balloon flowers too. The larkspur are finished and I'm harvesting seed. I got a lot of seeds from the bluebonnets this year and hope to be able to coax some of them to germinate in the greenhouse this summer. Mike B did some fabulous work on my house last month. He's great to have around ya know. He was painting dormers up on the roof and came inside for a short break. I mentioned that the carpet had pulled away from the tack strip by the kitchen so he fixed that real quick. Then this week the swamp cooler went out and I called him to see when he could come and fix it and he was here before I hung up the phone. I told him I'd like to have him on a retainer so he could just work for me all the time. My good friend from work, her name is Gwen, and I decided to open a little antique business together a few months ago. So we have a locked cabinet over at the Montgomery Street Antique mall. It's really fun and we've both made money from it. I'm also on the waiting list for a booth at Azle Antiques, but that one's going to take a while. Life is good! Cheryl
