Prune juice works for me!

For me, Align probiotic pills work better. The Activia didn't help. Prune or prune juice, fiber tablets, and
non laxative stool softener caps work also.

I'm on the fourth day of a triple-barreled approach: breakfast of All-Bran with a prune Activa on top and 4-5 whole prunes. Can't find prune juice here (I'm in Rome).
Does anyone know whether constipation/upset stomach is a symptom of menopause? For the first time my period did not arrive this month (I'm 55, so it is about time). Only other symptom--very uncomfortable--is very tender, even painful breasts. I just hope it is not the Activa doing more harm than good.

Marita I hope you are over the hump by now. Years ago, when I was in Germany it took me 3 days... and with that amount of time, it just came naturally after all.

For me it was the change of season, food, and travel that started all.

If I could have captured all the gas it gave me, I probably could have gone around the world in the hot air balloon I felt like. I gave it a 4 week (daily) try thinking that my system would adjust. It just got worse till with every step, I was putting. Bending over caused a gush that almost propelled me across the room. I am now trying a generic form (less costly) of Align. On day 5...no putting yet.

Marita - Activia works perfectly for me. I didn't ever have the problem until last spring. Now, if I go a couple days without the Activia, ouch! :) The only thing I don't like about it is it seems very sweet. Good luck!

Activia's Greek style yogurt doesn't taste nearly as good as other brands of Greek yogurt.

I think Activia is delicious. I especially like the vanilla and the black cherry, and I put in some raw oatmeal and fruit. Yum!

Did you know you can make your own yogurt? You need to buy natural (not fruit flavored) yogurt, add a spoonful to a cup or glass of milk. Keep it in the fridge and in several days you'll have enough yogurt for a week. And if you "grow your own" you know you have natural bacteria cultures in there.

I forgot to add bran in my post. We have All bran and also Bran buds. They work very well.

I agree with Kayejones,i eat yogurt every day and it keeps me regular very well.Before i started that,i used to have diahrrea everyday several times a day.Nothing the dr's gave me helped.My friend recommended probiotic pills and gave me a few,they worked,but i thought i'd try yogurt and it worked i told myself i would rather eat that than add another pill.

I like Yoplait thick and creamy the best,but i'll eat whatever i find on sale.Unless i'm in the commissary then i buy only Yoplait as it's only .50cents a carton.
It's cheap and tastes good.

Do not know about the benefits. I only know that I hate yogurt and love, love, love Activia. Particularly like the peach, strawberry and prune flavor.
