Beautiful choices! You do have excellent taste. Everything will look great and work great too. If you want quibbles, the Bertazzoni is probably more beautiful than functional (that is, the function isn't better than a GE or something and the extra cost is the beauty). If that's ok with you (paying for beauty not function) then it's worth it because it's lovely. I stopped looking at them when I heard they had some ignition issue, which would drive me nuts, and they don't have really high BTU's. Viking is coming out with an 18K BTU range that should be beautiful (not as beautiful, but they do come in pretty colors) and more functional than the Bert. But you probably know that already! I don't think you can go wrong with what you have. Those Miele dishwashers are so pretty, as are the Leibherr fridges. I have the Bosch washer and dryer you are getting and love them. I can't say they are super-special but they are nice. The Miele are way nicer and way pricier. I think that's true of all the Miele everything-- their fridges make me sad because everything else pales. But you know all this already, too! Post pics when you get them!

There was a few things I still wasn't quite happy with, so I made a few minor changes. What do you think of this? - Double doors into the bedroom to let light in from the juliette balcony doors. The doors should likely be lined up. - I didn't like where the designer originally put the closets and tried to play around with where to put them, but haven't quite worked it out yet. - I'm not posisitve what the end wall of the rumpus room was lining up with along the front elevation so I need to get feedback from the designer regarding whether the bathroom and bar location work. And of course - the rumpus room is still huge, and I have no idea what I will do with all this space, it is bigger than my living room! :) ha (I'm 7 months pregnant now with our first, and we plan on having one more, so I'm sure this will sort it self out with time!)

Chispa, thanks for the reassurance. I definitely don't need a tub, but DH loves to take baths, so... I was originally really excited about the look of the tub under the windows, but I think I can make the slightly angled tub work. Any decorating ideas to make it look more balanced with the window on one side of tub and blank wall on the other?

So I decided to do 3 drawers on each side of the range, and also drawers towards the peninsula (right next to dishwasher). I had to make the cab next to it go from 15 to 18 and the 24 to left of peninsula became a 21 and is now a stack of 3 drawers (same height as ones by range to keep horizontal alignment - since my kitchen, though a good size, is not ginormous, this matters to me as asymmetry is harder to "hide"). I understand why everyone says "no seating on prep side," I really do, but my neighbor did it, and it seemed to work out just fine. Yes, the cabs beneath the peninsula are only 15" deep, but I have a ton of storage on the fridge wall with two pantries, so I'll just put seldomly used crap beneath peninsula and in that corner (where window wall meets peninsula). Would've been nice to have 3 24" drawers, but now I have 2 stacks of 15" drawers, 1 shallow 18" drawer near range (above garbage), a stack of 3 21" drawers, and a stack of 4 30" drawers (2 are pretty deep) on fridge wall. So overall I think I'm pretty good with drawers. The only lower cabs I really have are beneath the sink (cleaning supplies for me), and beneath peninsula and at that corner (but those are 15" deep only). Tons of storage for taller items above both pantries, above wall speed oven, and above fridge even. Not to mention I can always "borrow" from one pantry and put stuff like a blender in there if nowhere else to put it. I'm still such a novice cook and dont have a lot of gear, but I think I pulled it off as best I could while being true to what I want. My current kitchen has that peninsula as an actual table that's more in the kitchen with chairs on both sides. By pushing it out I get a bigger kitchen overall, but didnt want to give up seating on both sides.
