Hi Sue and Laurel!

Sue I did get my furnace fixed and it is working great. When the furnace didn't come on when it got cooler out my boss thought it might be the thermostat since I wasn't seeing a spark like I normally did. I went out and bought a digital programmable thermostat and a friend put installed it for me. When the furnace still didn't come on my boss came over and checked out the thermostat to see if it was installed right (it was) and he checked the furnace. I thought the pilot light was out but when Mark removed the cover we could hear it. He fiddled with some wires but the furnace still wasn't coming on. My furnace is over 38 years old but it worked great still and even better since my friend and her husband cleaned the blower for me last winter.

I called heating and cooling company where my 2nd cousin is a co-owner because I thought that way I would get good service and not be told that I needed to replace the furnace or have unneccessary repairs. My 2nd cousin doesn't know me at all except from meeting at funerals so I was surprised when I was given a discount on the service charges. Turned out the gas valve was stuck and needed to replaced and the thermal coupler needed replacing. The kid worked on the furnace for over 2 hours and said that my furnace would last many more years since it was in great condition. I know it is not energy efficient but I keep the temp in my house low and a new furnace is not in my budget at this time. I really do like the new thermostat though because my furnace doesn't run as much as it used to.

Oh my gosh, I just saw my first snow flakes out the front window!

Here ya been gone such a long time and we've been a missin ya bunches....I expected to hear a huge long story about what you've been doing....LOLOL

I'm taking a sit down to give my feet and back a break...I've been moving every piece of furniture and cleaning behind and under everything...Getting ready for our Fall Harvest Party.

Planning on 50-60 spooks being here for a bonfire. Roasting dogs and making smores. Also will have potato soup and chili in the house. Maybe some hot choc. I think it's going to be cold.

Like Patti I have been cleaning today. Vacuuming, doing laundry, and cleaning up the camping gear to put it away till next year.

Glad to see you back Anne. Even gladder, that your furnace is working.

It's warm here this afternoon, and I have my windows open. Letting all the fresh air in that I can, before winter hits, and it is to cold out. :)

LOL Patti, I have a lot of words in me that want to come out but I think I would bore you all with them. LOL I wish I could come to your Fall Harvest party, I love bonfires especially when it is cold out.

I haven't heard about nor seen Handsome Ken since July when he saw me having trouble with my lawn mower. I baked him a box of cookies as a thank you for fixing it. I haven't seen Neighbour Ken much lately except to wave and say hello across the yard to really find anything out about Handsome Ken. LOL I do miss him though a lot but happy for him that he is busy working. He is doing so well for himself that he bought a new red truck and a trailor for all of his tools and equipment. LOL I do need a downspout cut away from the foundation so I just might have to get Neighbour Ken to have Handsome Ken come over to fix it for me.

I forgot to mention that I ran into a KTer yesterday. I almost literally ran into Dances at the grocery store with my cart. LOL

My brother took me to the other side of town to Costco to get juice to give out for Halloween and then I went to the Superstore near there to do some grocery shopping. I was almost done shopping and when I turned down an aisle I saw Dances walking towards me. I think we were both surprised to see each other. LOL She was surprised to see me grocery shopping at a store not near my house.

Dances looked great and she said she feels great with the work she has been doing with her Personal Trainer. I was in the middle of having an allergy attack from something in the store that was bothering me and because my face was burning I am sure I was beet red. We had a nice chat and because she only gets 1/2 hour for lunch at her new job I thought it would be nice if we could get together to go out for dinner and catch up instead. Dances is a busy woman but at least I can catch up on her life by reading her blog which always makes me laugh.
