This old cemetery is near my house. I took a bunch of pictures yesterday and chose some to share with you. Some are funny, some touching.....
I was moved by this simple wording--so moved, in fact, that I forgot to look on the other side to read the whole name so I could upload it to FindAGrave. I'll go back and check.

This is a unique stone, isn't it? I assume the finger is pointing the way to heaven. I couldn't read the inscription above it.
I know it was common for families to lose children back then, but I'm still rather stunned every time I encounter something like this:

And here's a family that died together, or at least in the same year. Like so many old gravestones, it makes you wonder what happened.

I see we're not the only ones who play with different fonts. They were doing it over a century ago.
And here's another example of someone who was ahead of his time. Celebrity kid names like Apple and Moxie Crimefighter might be unusual, but this guy is...........
