Just curious thanks GG, especially in the context of being too cold to ship plants to where you are or not. Serious cold kicked in to NYC today, 30s, w/ windchill in 20s. I've been sick so stayed in today playing w/ plants, cleaning up lots of pots, quilting, & then OOPS!! My Bldg's alternate energy sources (generators) pooped out at 7:30 pm. Too early to sleep so I came all the way outside to find Internet to play. No more Hoyas for me 'til Spring I think -- Happy Holidays everybody!!

I just planted mine yesterday. 100 seeds in the pack from johnny's selected seeds. Their germination tests say they get about 50 percent success but I don't necessarily grow under optimal conditions. So.....I should have plenty of plants if I don't let them die and only get 20 percent. I just wanted a more established plant for insurance. Thank you for your offer but I'd feel better if you kept yours since you have so few. I believe someone told me that I can buy a plant at Mother Earth Gardens when they eventually get their plants in. Otherwise they seem hard to locate. I'm not familiar with the 'black from tula' but I have some "black crim"...not a lot but I could spare one or two. I also have been told there is a " Twin Cities Perennial Exchange" group on Facebook which may or may not be a good place to look. There is an "annual spring plant exchange" on June 4 th at 7000 central ave ne. Free and open to the public.
