Saving childrens' art projects

I know this is probably a question for the cleaning forum but this is the site I come to most often.

I am cleaning out a hobby room that has gotten way out of hand. One of the piles I have to go thru consists of my five-year-old granddaughter's art projects. I proudly display them on the regrigerator until she has something new to hang in its place. I have accumulated a stack of her work. Her little brother will be entering preschool next year and I know I will have double the amount of projects to save.

I feel guilty when I consider returning these projects to their parents as I don't want to hurt my granddaughter's feelings. What would you suggest? Maybe I should just keep those projects that touch my heart and let her folks decide what to do with the rest. I guess I am looking for encouragement to make a decision. I have about three years accumulated. Help!
