I haven't been able to post much lately so I borrowed a laptop so I can say hi to everyone.

Today is my birthday and I hit the 49 mark. Only 18 years to go for retirement.

Come help me celebrate today!!!!!

Thanks all. I had fun picking them out today. It was just DH and I, the kids were spending the day at my mom's. They're not always the greatest of company when going to a daylily garden. I think I'm going to love everything we got today. They are soaking and will be going into pots in the morning to stay until fall. I received Caledonian Beauty last year in a trade. I had never seen it before. Just told that it was very pretty and I would like it. I do like it and I like that it's a later blooming daylily for me. I hope it continues to be that way. I need more lates. Michelle

Happy Birthday Karen! This is a pic of my mother and uncle in the mid fifties. I just love this pic. They don't make bikes like they used too. my uncle said that was red rock pop that he is holding.

Thank you so much for all of the wonderful birthday wishes!!! Eccentric, I've been wondering where you've been! I was going to post a Where is eccentric post. Today was a GREAT day. I got some awesome presents from hubby. Some were kitchen-related (naturally!) and also a beautiful multi-chained necklace. And some money which we'll use to get me some jeans and pants. God I hate clothes shopping but it's time to do it. We spent the day in the town where Luckygardnr lives. It's an arty-fartsy tourist town, and we had a great time. Had beef-barley soup and fish and chips for lunch and we're still full. Gave Lucky a call and she and her DH were home so we went around for a nice visit. All in all a fantastic day. Have yourself just a wonderful, memorable day, kid.

Just imagine ...

... how large a cake you'll need, to hold all them candles (and how large lungs to produce the hot air necessary to blow them out).

And ... just think - the cakes'll have to get bigger, every year!

Imagine the size ... and the blow-out-candle power needed when you hit 80!

(But the senior prerogative then is that you can call on one of the young relatives to help you blow them out)!

Thanks everyone! I had a great birthday. John sent me flowers to work and I got candy from my coworker. My boss is taking me to lunch next week.

Work has been crazy lately which is why I can't post. But I am getting the internet hooked up at my house so I will be able to post more often.

I noticed it wasn't on our daily birthday list here. Is it on your profile so we won't miss it next time? It is listed on the KT gathering place, I guess we forgot to look there.
