I'm glad they finally have a pretty equal mix of older and younger players. Some of us old folks love this show and it will be fun to see if one of the older players can come out on top.

I just like the old people better. They have a good chance if the competitions aren't too physical. They have life experience.

Well it's too early for me to form any opinions. I'm not going to say I will root for the old team just because they are older (I'm 44). I'll root for the best players. I think they sent home the right person, she was a bit weird.

Thought it was a bit boring, but I'm sure the drama will start soon. It was really eye opening to hear Jimmy J say that he has watched every second of Survivor and never realized how hard it would be. I toyed with trying out for a time, but I'm not good at puzzles and honestly don't know how I would do with the adverse physical conditions.

Sleeperblues, I thought the same thing......and it seems every season people say "I didn't know how hard it was going to be!!!". Well I know how hard it could be......lack of food, lots of physical activity, sleeping on the ground with insects and other animals.....yea, that's not hard! LOL

Absolutely love SURVIVOR...DH and I watched each and every season.

I would never try out because I cannot stand to sit on my deck after dark for fear of a potential bug bite! LOL!!

Yeah! I was able to watch Survivor tonight on CBS.com. Glad I won't have to miss it after all.
AND The Apprentice will be on www.NBC too.
I play cards in the evenings and hate to miss cards for tv shows.

Jimmy J is one of those physically FIT people that may get hit harder when it comes to loosing weight and not being able to keep it up. There was one in the past that was all muscle and when you only have muscle to loose, it becaomes an even greater problem.

The woman voted off may have gone anyway, but her DH warned her, and she should nat have started her rampage. She made it an easy vote. Somebody needs to be first!

I like how they just get down to business now.

I remember the first survivor I watched (i was late to the game! lol) and so much time was spent on a boat getting to the island, swimming in... blha blah blah... nice that
they are now just there and teams are created right
away!

It's my understanding that because there is such a division in the age groups (younger team is 30 or younger, older team is 40 and over), the challenges this season aren't going to all be physical, because that would give an obvious and huge advantage to the younger team. The challenges are going to be more of the mental variety, which we saw in this week's challenge -- which team can put together the best system for transferring the water into the bucket, and which team can figure out the puzzle the quickest.

I know the younger team is feeling very smug right now, thinking that they "have the upper hand" with challenges because they think the challenges are all going to be physical. I think (hope) they'll be in for a surprise.
