This is a picture of the Chesapeake Bay in Ocean View (Norfolk, VA). The Bay is now incredibly clean, after a massive clean up effort in the 1980s and 90s. There's a swimming beach nearby with life guards, brandy-new buildings and restrooms and showers, but the homeless are such a ubiquitous presence that not too many folks go swimming here. Pity, because it's a *beautiful* beach with lots of fresh clean sand and less than 50 people there at the busiest time of year.

This is in the city of Norfolk, about 10 minutes from my house.

Ah, the beach! I grew up on the shore; now I live near lakes.

Gotta love the beach.

The energizer Bunny balloon this morning amongst the others taking off....up...up....and .....away

Jodi's flower is a species of Primrose. I'm not sure which one but, definately in the genus Oenothera.

I agree Ron, an Oenothera. This one is O. Missouriensis. A sprawler that blooms these lemon yellow poppy sized flowers from May to October.

And the Energizer Bunny is a species of alkaline. Pink alkaline if I recall.

I used to have an Energizer Bunny screen saver. Good for a lot of laughs.
