Yup, I do what Kat does, except I put a rubber band around mine and stick them on a shelf (only because I don't have room in a drawer). :-)

Well that's easy- I can just put them back where I found them.

Seriously- I thought maybe I should put them in the freezer or use my FoodSaver to vacuum seal them in plastic.

They have found and grown seeds, found in ancient sites like in Egypt and the cliff dwellings, so seeds are pretty tough. I have planted seeds that are several years old and they have done just fine.

I planted some 3-4 year old seed packets in a large flower pot that I wasn't using. They nearly all came up and were growing well. Then I needed that pot so I took them out by the handful along with the dirt and more or less dumped them in another pot. Now I have a mixture of Mexican Blanket Flowers, allysum and Pinks? plus another white one I don't know what it is. On the other hand I bought a pack of Sweet Pea seed this Spring and none of them came up. Go figure.

Sure, keep those seeds til Spring.

Some types of seeds have a very short "shelf life", like lettuce. A year or two at most. But the type of seeds you have should be good for several years. The best way to keep them is dry and cool. This spring I planted some radish seeds that had a date of 2000 and most every one came up.

I put mine in a freezer zip lock baggy and put them in one of the crisper storage containers in my refridgerator - not around apples though, the gas from apples can ruin seeds or so I've been told.

I have some seeds easily eight years old that should be fine, unless they are short lived seeds. Seeds can last years and even decades under the right circumstances.
