Hi Iva! I haven't been on here in a few days and I was just reading through some threads and came across this.

I've been feeling kind of rotten. I'm having a lot of palpitations, and my heart rate has been going up with the least bit of exertion. When I walk up a flight of stairs, my pulse will go up to 120 or 130 and I feel like I have to sit down. Now, I'm not in great shape to begin with, but that's just ridiculous! I never felt anything like this with my other 2 pregnancies.

I did see my doctor today and I went for lab work (another blood count to see what's up with my white blood cells, another ECG and a thyroid test). I see him again on Tuesday, so he should have the results by then.

Thank you for thinking about me! I will definitely update on Tuesday.

What confusion! That Kordes shot is no help at all, apart from showing a very short plant. I seriously doubt these will ever be sorted out based on photos. The color of the edge is highly variable. If only the bloom is shown, the sole difference I see is in the number of petals. Written accounts are quite clear that Nicole is a white blend and some suggest Hannah Gordon should be a red blend. Is your nausea in your belly, or in your throat? I have occasional problem with too much stomach acid. When I do, I get a feeling in my throat and mouth, like you get when you're about to vomit. That weird feeling that your tongue is thick. It's hard to describe, but I bet you know what I mean. My doc says that's a result of the acid problem. As long as I keep that under control, I'm fine. And the nausea is never, ever in my belly. Oh, and eating something usually helps.

Rusty, my climate is a lot milder than yours. Average low temperature in January is 50°, and average high is 68°. Typically, it won't get below 45° in the winter, but in cold winters, it can get down to 40°, which is not too cold even for most orchids. In the summer, it rarely gets above 80°, but September is the warmest month. We get ocean breezes in May and June that keep us cool, and in the winter, the warm Santa Ana winds prevent us from getting cold. Most house plants will do fine here, but a lot of them will need shade, and I do run out of shady areas. There are lots of microclimates in Southern California, and I am in the beach/coastal microclimate, which is the mildest. I do have trouble with some tropical plants that require a lot of heat because we get very little of that, but I was able to grow mangoes in Venice, which is not too far from where I live now. My climate is similar to South Africa, and so I have a lot of South African plants, as they require little maintenance. I can also grow plants that are native to higher elevations in Mexico and Central and South America. I grew up in Texas and used to visit friends in Mission, in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Thanks Nicole. I have really been concerned. 120/130 is high enough. They told me not to get too concerned until it went up to 128. So it appears you are right on the border. The meds they put me on are keeping it in the 60's/70/s but of course I'm not pregnant. I am exhausted when doing any steps, too. We live on a 4 level so have had to do some switching of furniture to limit steps as much as possilbe. I'm sure the fact I'm over weight, (the meds made me gain 32 pounds and I was heavy enough as it was) and the fact I'm 77 years old, doesn't help any.

I surely do wish you all the best and I will be watching for your post.
