Holy cow--does she share that space with anyone? It looks huge. Glad you got her settled in and you don't sound any too worse for wear.;-) Bet you feel better knowing she's not stuck in a tiny little room. That is some dorm room!!!
Reminds me very much of the campus apartment my daughter lived in last year with 3 other girls. The one big difference was their bathroom had the double vanity, a small room with just the toilet to the right and then a shower room to the left. The shower room had a stall shower and a closet so they each had a shelf for their toiletries. This year she's in an off campus apartment (just barely off campus, campus is right across the street!) Thanks for sharing the pictures, it's always fun to see other dorms and compare!
This is like the dorm/apartments my DD has lived in for the past 2 years. I'm pretty sure Stacy said that there are 4 girls who share the living space, but each have their own bedroom.
Yes she has 4 other roomies it is 4 bedrooms...the girl in the pic is the one you see when Syd is at prom (she is 2 years older from Syd but they have been friends since she was 4)....the other girl is from Checotah also and she is the one Sydneys room is by and they will share the bathroom...the other girl is not from Checotah and Sydney and her hit it off great texting on the puter ect...til the other girl found out that years ago Syds dad dated her mom.....now Jerry and I were married for 13 years he had never been married before and this girl totally freaked out for some reason and tried to get her room changed...but it was too late so not sure how she is oging to do since she couldn't handle that her mom dated Syds dad...we all think that is strange....Stacy
Is she a freshman? I can't remember - my daughter's dorm room was much, much smaller. It was just a very small room that she shared with another girl. Her's didn't have her own bathroom or any other room for that matter. It just had a bedroom. I'm envious! Also, is she going to a state school or a private school? Just curious if that would be a difference?
Holy cow! Last dorm room I saw was when Heather went to school in 1997. WOW is all I can say! Heathers was tiny, 2 twin beds and nothing but one shared bedside table and two "stall" type closets. BR was out and down the hall! This sounds like what my nephew stayed in tho, there were 4 bedrooms and the 4 guys shared the main part of the space. It is like an apartment.
Holy cow, I've never seen such a dorm room before! My son's rooms didn't have a kitchen and even tho he always just had one roommate, there was never enough room.
There was a common kitchen, showers and laundry room in his building which was always busy.
Stacy, I don't recall the name or location of Syd's college? Is it a two or four year college? Even tho my DS went to college in NM, it was just a little over a 2 hr. drive from home here in Amarillo. He always spent his summers here with me and working, too. Hope Syd got the great scholarships like DS did..sure does help.
