I realize that many feel that no woman has ever cheated on their husband, so I won't even address that. Lots of comments to be made on that but I'll refrain. For the most part I think it's irrelevent to the big picture. I do however tend to agree with, I think it was Ross Perot who said he would never hire a divorced person for his management and higher job positions. Like he said, if you can't be trusted to keep your vows, how can you be trusted to perform a job with integrity? People can talk about morals and ethics but think nothing of breaking vows. Hmmm, so when you take an oath of alliegance, or swear to tell the truth, what does that do for the credibility of divorcees? But with 2/3rds of all marriages ending in divorce, nobody thinks a thing about a politician (or actor, or any other high profile person) who breaks vows. Interesting hypocracy. It does happen, and yes male or female, has always happened, and always will happen. Is it newsworthy when it's involving high profile people? Sadly, yes. It's newsworthy. And it's typical for them to lie about it. The media knew well of Jack & Bobby's indiscretions but in that time they didn't have the foxy news style of sensational screaming reporting. They valued the office more than the person. Even in the days of Watergate it was rebellious reporters that broke the story while the bulk of the media stayed quiet. Now the pendulum has swung to the other way where it's major news if someone doesn't wash their hands after using the bathroom. If I'm going to consider an affair or something for a person's reputation, I'm more inclined to consider the reaction when caught than the incident since the incident doesn't have much to do with anything or anybody else. I think they should just use the overused "irreconcilable differences" and be done with it.

We don't have Waffle House here, but I know it from traveling in the south. I'm okay with anyplace with butterscotch anything on the menu. Spent the morning at a waterpolo tournament. We won both games, big. I scheduled my day tomorrow with job#2 (first day back) thinking tournament would finish in the morning, but I'll miss the last game, regardless. So I may not go tomorrow. We have a good shot at winning the whole thing, so I'm sad not to go. But I think it'd be harder to go to one and not get to see the championship game. And almost as hard if we lose the first game tomorrow after winning so big today. So I think going to a game is a lose-lose proposition for me. I want to get my bathroom drawers/cabinets cleaned out. I've had it on various to-do lists for years. Things are just piled/crammed in. I decided I'll plan it one drawer/shelf at a time. Trying to get it done by the end of break. It's 'chunked' enough that way that I don't have to plan a big period of time. So far so good. Yesterday before we went to the inlaws' I did one drawer and one shelf. I'm about to go hit another in a bit. Good plan. I'm definitely struggling with the day of the week. I was listening to talk radio on the way to and from the games. The person filling in for the regular host...I thought he was saying the wrong regular host, today being Saturday and all. Not. That was my first indication that it's really still Friday. This is not a good timing for me of Christmas and New Years within the two week school break. I think I do best when it's on the weekend or at least butts up to the weekend rather than being in the middle. I lose some of my precious 'normal' weekdays off. I'm going to try mixing up my bread recipe. Going to try one of the variations with some whole wheat flour. Wish me luck!
