Hi everyone,

First of all thanks for the prayers, good thought and support.

I had the bilateral mastectomy on the 21st of Aug,stayed in the hospital for 4 days, during which time i had to have a transfusion of 2units of blood.

I was sick after the surgery as i always am,and no matter what they do to try and prevent it,it always happens and this time was no different.Almost passed out on the 2nd night in the hospital when they got me up as well.So those are the reasons i ended up staying for the 4 days. And to think on my authorization papers it said "outpatient surgery".

I'm doing ok, pretty much, sore and these drains are making life miserable, but i know once they come out,the pains hopefully will go away.In the meantime, percocet is my friend, followed by milk of magnesia.LOL

My pathology reports weren't back yet when i went to the dr on wednesday.I go again friday,so hope they are back by then. The dr says i won't need radiation, but he's sure i'll need some chemo, how much and for how long isn't known yet.

As i'm sure a lot of you know the waiting to find out information is the worse.

Again, thanks for all your support.

Kathi
