It started when I was only two. My brother was born. They sent me to stay with my grandmother. She had camellias and roses. There was a plum tree. It marked me for life. (There is a photo -- black and white -- I'm in a sunbonnet with a watering can almost my height.) At sixteen, I dug a flowerbed in the lawn without permission and made a rock path in another bed. I could not be stopped. Later I demanded a sunny part of the yard for vegetables. It expanded: peas next to the hedge. Asian greens by the roses. Parsley bordering the euonymus. Potatoes in a bare spot. I took my jade plant to college and dug wildflowers to bring home. In the city I had houseplants. It wasn't enough. From the train window obsessively I counted wildflowers. I snatched seeds when I saw them, and threw them in bare places. Now I have two acres. I am growing everything. I have almost run out of friends to give tomatoes to. Soon I will be known as the crazy lady with all the plants. Maybe I am already.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I totally laughed. I love this one! I don't think I could have known Johnny Depp in person as "just a friend." Man, no matter what he's doing, he is BEAUTIFUL. Glad I didn't know him because I would have had my heart broken!!!

Clothes pins are still usable. We, machine knitters, use them all the time to hold yarn tails down. I also use them for other craft projects as well. Manufacturers should not do away with them ever! Pammyfay, you story is cute. It reminded me of when this young cable salesman came by my home tried to sell the service. I politely told him "no thanks". He responded back by asking: "who do you use to watch TV?". "No one. I use OTA", I replied back. He looked puzzled and asked me: "What's OTA?" in which I said "Over the Air channels". Still looking puzzled, I explained further that we use a roof antenna to pick up these over the air channels. He then asked me: "How much do you pay for the service?". "None, it's free" I replied. His final comment was: "Oh, we can't beat that price then" and walked away. LOL...

I can be stressed out and pick up my coloring book for adults and instantly be relaxed. Gel pens are even more relaxing the way they glide along. I hope I get a new one for Christmas. Wouldn't mind a laptop either. I was thinking yesterday why I like the gel pens so much and decided they kind of remind me of ironing for some reason. I used to find ironing so relaxing and I rarely ever iron anymore. Silly random thoughts I guess. Cute cartoon.
