therington: Whenever a faucet or sprayer is installed, the lines need to be bled before the aerator is installed. Turning shutoff valves on and off can knock crud into the line. If you plumber didn't do this, this could be your problem.

I have 4 young pear trees. I didn't spray with dormant oil last year, the Keiffer started out with young pears, then dropped them and some of the branches had blight. The other 2 yr. old tree didn't produce. The other 2 were just planted in 2014. I seem to recall that pears should be sprayed with dormant oil before they start blooming, then after, but I am not sure........Can anyone tell me the schedule on spraying my pears? I am located in east Texas. The trees are all growing well and have unopened buds - they all leafed out and grew well last year, except for the Keiffer with blight, but after removing the black branches, it continued to grow well. My rather vain mother went to her salon in a taxi from her nursing home to have a spray tan every few weeks. I kid you not...she was in her upper 80s. Spray tans are quite popular, I think. I'd never do it myself at home, but have had it done two or three times in my life prior to an event. I had a lovely morning at an area spa yesterday coincidentally; a friend and I had a sugaring treatment on exposed body parts and a light spray tan. She also had a mani/pedi while I kept her company. I do my own nails. She's hosting a party tomorrow night and wants to feel fabulous. I am always pretty pasty looking and needed some color to feel best in my outfit for the evening. It's just a glow, a bit of color on my very pale skin, which is always slathered with sun screen or covered up with clothes and hats. I'd worry that if I tried to use a home treatment that I'd mess it up, that it would look streaky or obviously fake.

'now I judt have to fimd the best application to fight the cercospora' Synthetic fungicides containing any drastic ingredient in the class of stobilurins (e.g. pyraxostrobin, azoxystrobin, trifloxystrobin etc), don't let Henry know I told you about it, or copper based fungicides if you want to be somewhat more 'ecological' and a quite bit safer yourself. Can't help you with specific brands since I'm not resident in the US but over here Cabrio, Switch and Flint would fall in the first category (the same would fight botrytis blight also). Best method (regardless of health concerns and the like) would be to alternate between strobilurins and copper. Disclaimer: A bit of fungal disease should be acceptable to anybody growing roses in his/her garden in my view. So use sparingly.
