My Dear Dear FIL

Went home to be with the Lord this morning at 12:10am.The family was standing around his bed holding his hand when he went.Please pray for all of us for this is a difficult time.And also Greg,he his Father were very close.He keeps saying he lost his best friend.We will all miss him very much.Thanks so much for all your support,special thoughts and prayers.It may be awhile before i am able to post again cause things have to be done for the funeral.Judy

Hmm -- the bronze color may indicate too much light. Remember, it's spring, and the sun is getting stronger, and with longer days. Also, you might try a low nitrogen fertilizer for a while; I think that encourages variegation. Also, what Fred said. Cooler temps overall encourage variegation. Good luck. Korina

Here's my 2 cents. For peonies what I tried this year, was putting chickenwire pieces over the shoots in early spring. The shoots then grow up taking the chickenwire with it as support. Even with a peony ring, Honey Gold would always flop over, but last night even dh had mentioned how much better it looked this year. Here's a pic, So I wonder if this wouldn't work for other plants. I realize that veronica is shorter, but if you bent the edges down by about 5" to form a kind of a box, then the plant should be supported well. What do ya think? Laurie

Or the Dynamite; makes a bigger pond ; ] I suppose it would be good to find out where the holes are coming from. If animals are clawing around, that could be a serious problem. Are you talking about an empty pond or filled, when these holes might have been made? Assuming you are talking about regular thick EDPM liner, it is hard to imagine how many holes got there. If you are talking about some cheap stuff, then just replace it. But, if these holes came from a filled pond (it shouldn't happen), I would worry about a repeat and I think I would quit too.

A different version of the sconces and ceiling fixtures are called "Spider", so Mouille was aware of the bug quality. I like the all the fixtures actually, but don't think I would ever use ceiling and wall fixtures together. The shades on these rotate, but I think the picture shows them "wrong way around" --even though there really isn't a wrong way. Projected at the ceiling or wall, they are really "anti-glare" fixtures: it's all indirect, bounced off the walls or ceiling. I don't know why anyone would point the ceiling fixtures bulb-down like that. In any case, I won't ever have these fixtures--I don't believe in knock-offs, only licensed copies, and I won't ever have $7000 for a fixture.

Blessings to your entire family, Judy. I do know how hard it is to focus on the positive (that he's with the Lord now) instead of our own emotional pain. Grieving is a process, and I pray that each of you is able to work through it.

Sorry for your loss...but be consoled that he is home with the Lord. His job down here is complete.

I've lost both parents in recent years, and a DH.
In the beginning, I felt the losses as a hole in my heart, but shortly that hole filled up - I felt their presence in my heart...and there they reside.
They will be with me always, as will Greg's DF be with him and those who loved him.
