Nancy Grace on Dancing With the Stars???

Just heard it on HLN news. I came here to see if the discussions had begun yet! :) I've never watched DWTS, but I may now just to see what happens! Oh, and Chaz Bono will be a contestant too.

I missed the announcement on who the Celbs are. I mean no disrespect but what role will Chaz Bono be? The one who leads or follows? Who else will be on?

Debra, Someplace Special is pretty special when she polys....I love it too! I cannot determine performance of Sink Into Your Eyes other than it has survived a flood, followed by ice storms a plenty in winter 2006 followed by deer relentlessly chomping it season after season! The Lambertson cultivars do well for me here. This is the first year I've seen it bloom since buying it in 2006! Jean, Thank you for your admiration. Michelle, I split a small clump of Summer Star off for a friend year before last and you can't even tell I divided anything off of it! As far as blooming goes, My garden has been so devestated by deer since 2007 that I really can't comment on the blooming part of it. It just started blooming this week so time will tell. I have to say something awful. I kind of hope Kristy gets voted off. Not because she isn't the best dancer in the bunch, but because she has SUCH an unfair advantage over everybody else it really isn't much of a competition for the others. She's been taking ballet since she was 4 and skating since she was 6! In my opinion, this is an expertise level way beyond previous music video, rock show choreography, Olympic speed skating or football backgrounds. This is a REALLY unfair advantage, and I think the producers really messed up on this one. I hope Jason wins and Marissa stays in, just because they are really trying and their improvement is noticeable. Kristy blew out of the gate from the start while the others have had to learn as they go. And no matter how much she says it's really, really hard I find it difficult to believe that someone with that much ballet experience has it as hard as the rest.

DWTS ratings for that night beat both those for American Idol and The Voice. They were all down from the previous season `but DWTS was down only a tiny bit and their ratings were quite a bit higher than the other shows. I don't agree with the criticism of the producers going on and on about Amy's disabilities. I think that with the Boston bombings, returning soldiers with amputees, childhood accidents it is very important that we do understand that disabilities don't have to limit people in what they do or define them. I think that Amy and her tenacity (plus having to have a kidney transplant as well) show us that the lives of amputees and those with other disabilities must be respected and accepted. I don't think that always happens. Now the season with Chastity - that I thought was gratuitous BS and I didn't watch it.

I had never watched DWTS until last season and being from "Steeler Country", I had to watch Hines and his famous hip movements....I only watched it for him and probably won't turn it on again.....I just chuckled to myself when I saw that list....

They must be scraping the bottom of the barrel. Why on earth would Canalis agree to being on that show is beyond me...Oh that's right, her only claim to fame is being someone's girlfriend.....

I love, love, love this new cast. It should be fun. I love Carson Kressely, Ricki Lake, Nancy Grace (more power to her for giving this a try). Some of the cast I don't know but it should be fun to watch.

I may have to watch because the cast is certainly intriguing. I didn't know NG was so pudgy. If she lasts long enough she may do a "Kirstie Alley" and dance away the weight. I had never heard of the Iraq war vet, but he certainly is inspiring. I'm voting for him before the show even starts, lol

I love most of the new cast. Looking forward to watching Dave Arquette and Chaz (I really admire Chaz; he's such a nice person). Carson Kressley will be fun to watch too.

I want to apologize. When I re=read my above post about Chaz...I realized how insensitive it sounded. Honestly, I didn't mean it that way. I have seen him on interviews and he is such a gentle, likable person. I wish him a whole lot of good luck on DWTS.

Every season I think, who are these people? Doesn't seem like it's going to be a good season - and every season I get sucked in, getting to know their personalities and watching their improvement.

In the end, it doesn't seem to much matter what I thought about the cast in the beginning - I always enjoy watching the journey.

Wouldn't miss it!

I'm with you, Tally. It isn't so much who the cast is, but watching them improve as they go along. I think it takes a lot of grit to go out before millions of people and perform, good or bad, the way they do.

I think Carson will be a blast! He's one of the few that I recognized.

I always loved his banter and quips on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy - he cracked me up :)

what bothers me about chaz is his weight..i'm sure it's from the hormones...and stature...heard he's already working out in the gym...bet mom shows up and his half bro....
