Oh, they're beautiful! I haven't seen goldfinches all summer, probably because I stopped feeding. I hope that's the only reason.

LOL, Gazania. Yes, the Japanese beetle isn't long for this world. I drown many every day. If they weren't so destructive, they'd be beautiful, though. That gorgeous copper in the sun . . .

Ron I have no idea. It was growing at the Botanical Gardens. A bush/shrub with lots of these flowers coming out of it. I assume they are flowers that have gone to seed.

It reminds me of Apache Plume, Fallugia paradoxa, native to the New Mexico/Arizona area but the foliage is way off.
