No...tossed out 2 of those grills. They are horrid...steam the meat instead of grilling.

I on the other hand have no problem with mine.

I grill chicken breasts for about 10 minutes, and salmon for 11 minutes. No idea where the book is...

I line mine with tin foil, and thus, have an easy clean up.

I love ours. We are on our 3rd or 4th one, we wear them out. My husband likes his hamnburgers done in them, but I also like hotdogs, and grilled cheese. Oh, also, what my whole family loves is this: get boneless pork chops, coat them with cajun seasoning (you can get it for 50 cents at Dollar General) then cook them george formean grill....very very yummy.

I am in the same situation--grill but no book. I've done chicken breasts, and a few other things. I do believe it tends to steam more than grill, but it's handy and hepful. I don't think you could put corn on the cob in there. It's too fat.

I didn't like the concept and avoid non stick as often as possible but I saw a little one for around 15 dollars so decided to give it a try. I don't do steak in mine but I keep pork chops,chicken and lamb chops in the freezer for lunches. Now I can make a quick lunch in around 5 minutes.

The secret to avoid the steamed effect is to let the grill preheat completely before you add your food. I plug mine in before getting the rest of my meal out.

I love to do hot dogs,polish sausage and linguica on it. Brown and serve breakfast sausage comes out nice and brown and crisp.

For easy clean up I just unplug and put a wet paper towel to set while I'm eating. then I come back and everything just wipes right off.

Sword fish and salmon come out fabulous, just sprinkle a little breadcrumbs in butter at the end of the cooking and you have a delicious entree.

I see cookbooks for it in thrift stores all the time. You can also find one on amazon.com Lots of different ones.

Try the library :-) Our used book store in the library has hundreds of cookbooks and diet books and diet cookbooks.

We gave ours to one of the kids because even when fully preheated ours did steam the meat since it didn't have a floating hinge.

We replaced it with a Cuisinart model with a floating hinge and the heating plates are reversible- one side is ridges the other flat. The plates can go in the DW but I think that's too harsh and just wash them in the sink.

I have the cuisinart Griddler and LOVE it, had a G.Foreman and gave it away.
Not sure how you would do corn on the cob, even things with a big bone in them are difficult to do.
I roast corn on the cob in the oven, leave in husks as it comes, wrap in foil, put in 450 oven for an hour, awesome.

usually if you google the model number you will find access to manuals or go to their website and search there.

We love ours and use it several times a week during the winter months when we can't grill outside. It is very important to let it fully heat up before adding the food, in order to keep it from steaming. We have used it for everything from steaks to fish, and even vegetables.

I can't imagine cob corn in a Foreman short of slicing them into halves or even fourths, unless you cut them into little disks which, eh. Seems like it'd take forever with dubious results trying to do it whole.

I've thought a few times about a Foreman and nearly bought one with the removable plates that was on clearance but really couldn't justify it. Between an electric frypan the Nesco and the glass bowl convection oven, I'm not sure that it can do much for me in addition to what I have except 2 sided frying for burgers and such and actually the convection does almost the same.

Plus I hear such mixed results with users. Guess it's a love it or don't even want it appliance. My biggest problem is the grease dripping into the tray. Not sure I'd want to deal with that.

I have one that steams the meat. I've let it heat for 20 minutes before putting a steak on it but still didn't get hot enough. It's OK for some things but not a good steak. Should have returned it but it was from Amazon and would have been a pain to return.
