I'm so happy, I have to share the news!!

I know this isn't a big deal for y'all, but I just have to tell someone!!! I have two people I consider my best friends. One of them lives in Olive Branch, Ms. which is about 7 miles from me. The other one lives about 70 miles away. I just talked to her and she told me by this time next month she will also be living in Olive Branch. Ms. I am so excited.

At work we all eventually ended up working in different departments and on different shifts part of the time. We are all retired now and will finally be living close to each other again. I feel so blessed.......

Thanks, guys :-) Some mildly analytical stuff: 1. The containers that have sprouted are all part of a the ones I grouped together in big garbage bags...I guess that ups the temps a bit, having the big plastic around them. I put a lot of containers in the bags for easy transport and for dog protection (from picking up a container and running off with it...which has happened before). Not all the containers in the bags have sprouted (there's a whole lot more of them), but those on the list above have. 2. The sprouted containers are also with a group of containers that are in Southern exposure. ( I have other bags of containers on my porch, in Northern exposure). This proves why it could be bad to have them in Southern exposure, because now, I'm more inclined to worry, since we now have snow and it's going to be in the 20s or lower tonight. But then, the ouotdoor temps have been in the low to mid 20s every night for the past two weeks and that didn't keep them from sprouting. ..but I'm not looking at those containers or opening them up...not for a few days, at least. Whatever will be will be...and I have a feeling a lot of those sprouts will be just fine. --I think I do need to slip a thermometer inside one of those bags of containers, though. I'm curious as to how much warmer it is in there. Linda

Donna. thanks but there is a problem with its blooms, which is that the rod does not grow high enough. Good for you IÂm glad it was that easy for you. It took nine months of the GE repairman coming to my house every Monday before GE finally replaced my less than 2 year old refrigerator. My neighbor thought I was having a fling with the young man and ask DH about it. LOL He replaced everything in the refrigerator and it still froze everything I put in it. I havenÂt any reason to believe that the new one will last five years and you bet I will never buy GE again. Claudia

Congrats! This is wonderful news! I for one appreciate hearing these OT posts - both the good and the not-so-good. As a true TKO, my kitchen project has been so all-consuming, maybe not always in a healthy way. It's so good to be slapped upside the head by real life news & events. I know how that feels. At one time, years ago, my oldest BFF moved to Houston and I thought I would die. About 16 years ago they came back to Tyler and it was a happy day. There's nothing like those BFFs.

Rosebudms ~ that's funny that you said that. Before Bob and I got married Patsy, my friend who is moving next month, and I used to have a lot of meals together that consisted of cornbread and iced tea; sometimes it was rolls instead of cornbread and they were just as good.

Yaya - yes, they are friends with each other and have been for a lot of years, although I am closer friends to both of them than they are to each other. We all love gardening, garden junk and birds as well as crafts, flea markets and garage sales.

Sounds like you and your friends are going to have some fun times. I can't quiet remember where Olive Branch is but I was born in Tupelo and spent early years in Saltillo. The name Olive Branch stands out in my mind ...We moved to AR when I was young so for some reason I think Olive Branch was some where on the route to and from AR...

That's great news, Linda! We pass thru Olive Branch every year when we go to FL. It's just a few miles south of Memphis. I think OB has just about everything you could need, shopping wise!

Fantastic! I live 75 miles from my BGF, it use to be only 20 miles. But, she and her Husband met us at the Lake about twice a month, which is 1/2 for each of us.

I know how it feels to welcome Friends and Family near you. I have a Cousin that is moving 1 mile from my house in the country. I am very excited to have family near me as well.

Ruthieg, Olive Branch is on highway 78 between Tupelo and Memphis. Actually, between Holly Springs and Memphis. I live in Tupelo now, but was born in Prentiss County, and we used to pass through Saltillo on the way to Tupelo. Building boom going on there...doesn't look the same! A Toyota plant to manufacture the Prius car is being built between Tupelo and New Albany. Everyone is very excited about it.

Flamey, the next time you come through Olive Branch, please let me know. I realize you will probably not have a lot of time because of trying to reach a destination, but maybe we can meet for a glass of tea or cup of coffee. I can be there in 10 minutes. Sure would like to see you. :)
