That's a great one Larry....and just look at those teeth!! I'm waiting for blooms from my little Siloam Show Girl that has put up a late scape. I'm still in awe that an established dl will be blooming in Sept. for me here in south central Alabama! Be sure to show us photos of QOM when it blooms, too. Jan

Nancy, That's a beautiful hoya, all that sun makes those leaves georgeous! I have this hoya and although your's gets alot more sun b/c of being grown outdoors. Mine is hanging in an east window, I turned it the other day and the side that was facing the window had those dark edges and the other side had none what-so-ever. Amazing what a little sun can do, huh... I know people have said this but when you actually see for yourself it's re-assuring what you already know. Ima I looked at you album you have some nice hoyas. Love the kentiana collage. shanna

Awesome! What I usually do is wait until the new flush gets it's good deep green color, then I cut the old ones off. But do wait until the new ones finish greening up.

I would probably let it go another week or two so that all it roots have woke up and gotten a start. You could probably repot now if you really wanted but I would probably wait a while if it was me. Rinsing the roots might help get rid of some of the root system that died off over the winter but I would be gentle and not try to completely clean them. It should come back fine with the 5-1-1. I have recently repotted two of my overwinter plants into 5-1-1 from a more traditional soil they were in and they are both doing great. Just be prepared to water them more often. They will dry much quicker in the AZ sun than the traditional potting mix did. It sounds like that plant is looking for a 5 gallon pot if it was that big last year. Good luck and I hope it does well for you again this season and I hope you have better luck with the seeds you harvest off it. Make sure you are harvesting the seeds and handling them correctly afterwards. Bruce
