Spent the afternoon at the ER, and I'm home now!

Lots going on with me: thought it was anxiety

Today, did not want to get out of bed. Slept 13 hours, got up, back to bed for another hour.

checked my blood pressure, and pulse, called doctor, and sent me to the ER.

All signs, doc thought I might need to be check out for a stroke.

Dear dear friend came and picked me up. Son came later.

Had several good hard cries, still more to come, but maybe I'll get this out of my system.

Anti depression prescription.

A hug would help!

good for you, I planted out Sunday. My lupine was really big so it went out a week ago but some bunnies chomped on a lot of them and they are missing their leaves. I was so mad. I hope they make it. I have lots of WS babies to take care of now. I did not plant out my coneflower yet. it was a little too small. I wish it would rain some this week. I water the babies in the garden everyday and I hate using all that water :) I did not realize rocks can keep voles/moles out. I used some of the fake urine deterent. I also spread lots of stuff to keep bunnies out now. Liquid fence, blood meal and the urine deterent (natures best I think is the brand) and I put out snail/slug bait. so much work to keep the ws babies safe! Karen

After our long hot, humid summers I'm with you Jean. This is the way to garden - sitting down. I'm going through catalogs and old pictures here too. I don't have the room for more then a couple more daylilies so it's rather depressing seeing all the beauties that are out there.

. I just got one. Sorry , no babies on it.First the Agave you asked for an ID on is Agave Blue Glow. Their are several leonotis plants . I gave a plant of Leonotis mentholatum to Shirley . It is taller with curled leaves. Hint ,... It grows from cuttings and you know where Shirley lives.. another of L. leonurus's common names is Wild Dagga. It is used as a narcotic in Africa. Looks like a Madrone tree to me. The bark changes color according to how it peels and the time of the year. Maybe the growing conditions also cause a difference in colors. The succulent dish has the round leafed edged in red plant called Kalanchoi luciae.

Susan, I had the CAT scan's, 2 of them, without contrast. I had ureteral catheters inserted into my Ureters, the tubes that go from the kidneys to the bladder before surgery. The surgeon said that this was done to help from accidentally nicking one of them during surgery. They remove them as soon as the surgery is complete. Apparently the catheters caused some trauma to the ureters which caused bleeding, thus blood clots causing the urine to back up into my kidneys until the clots passed. The backup was very painful. Kidneys seem to be fine now. Last bloodwork I had done was normal. I'm sort of concerned, still, especially if I get any type of twinge in the kidney area. Thanks for asking.

I never really thought of myself as depressed before I started Zoloft, but I have to admit that it did help (a lot) with the undercurrent of anxiety I'd experienced my whole life. I hope you're better VERY soon!

Hope you are feeling better. Since you have been doing so much sleeping it sounds like you might be mildly depressed.Sometimes a person has no idea why as there is really no reason to be depressed. From reading your posts I can tell you are a stong woman with many friends and will bounce back quickly.

Geez Louise Glenda, I am so glad it wasn't a stroke and that you went to the ER. I am sorry you are still feeling axious - it must be an awful feeling.

I'm so glad for you that it wasn't a stroke.

I'm also surprised they prescribed something like that if this "sleeping 13 hours/did not want to get out of bed" was a single event. I can see it if you had been that way for awhile, but for one day?

Either way, hope you are feeling better!

Glenda, as I mentioned in the first thread, I was sure you needed to see a doctor. Glad you got in to him quickly.

Now you must work to find out the cause of the depression. There has to be a reason, or reasons.

Take care and get better soon. . .you've got that cruise coming up!

Glenda, thank goodness it wasn't a stroke!!! Get out, get some rays, that often helps the blues. Take a walk. Sit out on your porch with the lovely view and read a good book. Take your meds. They will take a few weeks to kick in. It will be so gradual that you'll just wake up one morning and realize, life is good.

Thanks, I'm more up to snuff, but not completely. Still weepy.

Did go to gym, skipped pool, and did weights and two back strengthening machines.-

Coulda been a bug, I don't know.

Glenda, did they check you out for a stroke? Weeping is a common side-effect after one. Just a thought.

Was checked out for a stroke. No stroke!

My breathing is back to normal, not fatigued as much, nausea is gone.

Oh, that's good. I'll just bet you had a nasty bug that laid you out good; when I get those, I often don't even have a fever. Have a much better day tomorrow, Glenda.

I've bounced back, kinda sorta.
Frame of mine is much better.
Told friend it must have been a bug, but she said NO!
Too many issues to be resolved.

Will see.
