If you go to the linked site you can check if you are involved

Thank you for the quick check link, Raven. I started to
download the actual list and it was humungous.
My Yahoo email wasn't hacked, but I changed the password anyways.

So I guess that is why I got an email from Good Housekeeping. I assume that is the magazine, not someone who has been peekng through my windows. {{gwi:1472708}}

Thanks Raven I'll give it a try. I rarely use Yahoo

Just saw where Best Buy was hacked also.

thank you jasdip, it's done.

Keep calm folks. Less than 23,000 active accounts are affected. That's not many considering how many accounts are out there. They didn't hack the whole Yahoo email system like some want you to think."The most important part of this confirmation is that the swiped file is "old" and Yahoo believes less than 5 percent of the credentials are valid. This means less than 22,500 users are affected by this breach, according to Yahoo anyway." You should of course be changing your passwords on a regular basis anyway.

Changing a password is easy:
- Click Options, then click Mail Options
- Click Account Information
- Enter your password (at this point you can change a number of things)
- Click Change your password, then enter your old password and your new password. You'll get an email confirmation when completed.

I don't think it's anything to get too excited about either. I also changed my password.

This is a handy site to see if your email addy is on here.

The Site I linked to above is a security site so if you're wanting to check yours I would recommend using it instead of a site that is not a security site.

I don't know of any one that has panicked about this lol
Spreading the info however is a very good thing! As is staying safe.
