We sit on the front deck and wave to the dog walkers and bike riders that come by.
A few of our neighbors also sit out, and if there's anything to say, we may go over to their patio or deck...or they come over here.

I like to sit outside and enjoy my backyard or walk the dogs. If it is not pleasant out, I read.

We love to sit out in the backyard and play fetch with the dog, work in the garden, etc. If we are hanging out inside, we usually play Scrabble, read books, or watch a show. We usually get one or two series on DVD at a time, and watch those, as we don't usually watch regular tv, especially since I can't get PBS with the new digital stuff. Right now we are slowly making our way through Dexter and Arrested Development.

DH built a beautiful deck on the back of our house. The dog and I love to sit out there and watch the world go by. I spend a lot of time at the computer, too. (If I had a laptop I could do both at the same time!) Wish I would get off my butt and DO something. I am truly a lazy bones.
Also, I have a ladies meeting on Tuesday evenings and Thursday is line dancing.

I start my evening chores around 6 pm. By the time I get in the house, it is often nearly midnight. Sometimes, if the light is good...moonlight, or a light that Jody put up for me, last time he was home, I do a little outside work, because it is cooler. I only have 8 cages of possums, but it still takes a long time. Actually, now I only have 6 because I forgot to close two last night, and they left. It is okay about one cage, but the other is Gretchen, and she is crippled, so I hope I can find her tonight.

When it gets almost dark, I close up my chicken pens for the night. When I get in the house, I go to MH and do the Evening Post, and by then, I have to prop my eyes open, so I collapse in bed.

Probably outside 5 evenings out of seven.

Mike, me, and Brody take the dogs on a 1 mile walk every single evening. Mike either carries Brody in the baby backpack or we use the jogging stroller. The dogs deserve it, and so do we!

i wish we were more outdoorsy and we do have a screen room on the deck...but dh is a baseball fan so he heads up to watch games until reality or a movie kicks on...often i'm here on the computer right beside the open window watching the critters come out or reading...(and i'm in a city setting) plus he's in bed sun-th by 10..(he runs on the treadmill at 5 each am)

Most evenings I spend time on my front porch, scanning through a magazine or watering the plants, watching the birds and quite often a neighbor will stop by for a chat. 2-3 times a week I walk up to the newspaper recycle dumpster, carrying a bag of newspapers, and back which is about a 1/4 mile.

I love Summer time and it rarely gets too hot for me to be outside. So many people prefer to be inside with the AC running. I don't understand that. I know some have health concerns, but not most.

Today it is warm, but there is a nice breeze blowing. I just came back from walking up the street to watch a building being demolished.

I lead such an exciting life!! But I bet there are many of you who envy me, right?

Too hot to be outside. I just cozy up to my laptop and surf. I'm hooked on Farm Town on Facebook. It's so much fun.

Generally, after dinner, we visit a bit with the neighbors. Then I generally do some handwork or play around on the computer (maybe writing some recipes) while I watch the summer crop of competition shows--AGT, SYTYCD, HK, etc.

All you people who sit outside! Are you not susceptible to bug bites? After an hour sitting outside in the evening, I'll have half a dozen mosquito bites, as does everyone else in my family.

I have to say that I'm one of the people staying indoors with the AC, though we haven't turned it on yet this summer.

Tonight, Chloe and I went for a walk and got ice cream. I have eight new mosquito bites to show for it (and that was *with* bug repellent and wearing jeans)! Chloe was walking at a snail's pace by the end, because the bugs were bothering her so much.

Lucky for Us we are in a draught and no Skeeter Eaters. But, try the new clip on repellent that clips on your belt or waist band. We keep a can of "Off" at the "sitting area" too. Plus, we burn repellent in the Tikki Torches.

Joann23456, for some reason I'm not bothered much with mosquito bites. I had one bite this evening and I put some anti-itch lotion on it and that took care of it.

I've seen the ads for those clip on repellents, have you tried those? I just can't stay inside in the Summer!

We eat a late dinner, then I will knit or crochet and watch TV. In the summer, it is slim pickings, but I try to Tivo an old movie or show to watch. Sometimes I start watching reruns of something I did not watch during the season.

Then I head to bed and read a little before turning out the light.

Oftentimes, DS in NYC will call after dinner for a long chat and catch up on what is happening here and with his siblings.

Our evenings are mild so I like to walk. I was just commenting to my friend last night how so few of our evening are warm enough to stay in just our day clothing unless the day is exceptionally warm.

We sit out in our swing and watch the world go by. This time of year all the grands play ball and someone just about always has a ballgame going on, sometimes we will go out and watch them play. Neighbors will wonder over to chat a lot of times. Just quite, small town evenings-my favorite thing in the world.

Florida's too hot--we sit outside in November and December. ;-)

I play outside until dark, gardening and stuff, and then will maybe sit on the front porch with the furbabies, and/or visit with a loved one via phone. Then it is shower time, some computin time, some sitcoms to unwind, and bedtime.

Different things. I sit outside and read. The kids go out to play kickball in the cul de sac. Neighbors will come out and we chat. Sometimes we have other stuff we need to do. That's the best time to be out, during the day is way too hot.
