My oranges and lemons came back from last year. I was thrilled! I tried to move it, though, and it is pouting up a storm. I bought it late in the season last year, and it was one of the last things to stop blooming (maybe in late October/early November). I have Achillea Terra Cotta too, and this is SUCH a beautiful color! It has more than doubled in size since I put it in last year (from Bluestone, 4" pots). I think I might have to stay on top of keeping it in check. Also have David Phlox (also from Bluestone, come to think of it). It was wonderful!! Very long bloom period. I have one little Monarda Lambada seedling that I just planted out yesterday. I'm curious if anyone has anything to report about it re: invasiveness. I planted it in my perennial bed, and hope that wasn't a mistake! :) Wow, 3 for $6 perennials from Bluestone! What a deal! Have fun shopping!!

LOL Annie. When I originally posted I suggested a picnic at "The Lake" but then I realized that SOME people in Michigan do live by Lake Huron or Lake Superior, or even Lake St. Clair! Oh, too bad we will just miss each other. I will be in S. Michigan the night of the 17th, but we do plan on going up north to Whitehall for the weekend. Then back on Sun. night to leave for PA from the south. We may pass each other on I-96! Once again, my dream vacation in MI is a rushed in and out trip.

My GN came yesterday! It even has a fruit on it. It looks like it is gearing up to flower again, I can see some buds starting to form. It looks a little pale but I'm sure some foliage pro will take care of that quick! and my new lime tree. I thought it was a key lime but it says Mexican lime haha it is a teeny but bigger than the Meyer and has roots sticking out of the bottom of the container. He will be the first to be repotted haha.

We raised our boys near Kalamazoo and lived there almost 30 years. I'm still part owner of a cottage on Gull Lake and will be going back this summer. Love it except for the humidity.. As a 2nd grade teacher, use of the hand to explain geography was very common. I don't think anyone has mentioned Sleeping Bear Dunes or the wineries and small towns of the Leelanou Peninsula with their small towns. There's great local fish and yummy pies, but I can't remember the name of the place. Sorry.
