Do the kids you know play alot of video games..the personal one mostly? I know some kids that are allowed to play them pretty much whenever they want! Now I do think the Wii is a good thing...at least they are moving with most of those (that I know of).

My kids (24 & 26 girls!) never had much to do with them. They would have much rather been outside playing or doing something else. But then we never had TV on just anytime either.

Not even to mention bedtimes...that seems to be a thing of the past also!!

Good grief......I sound like my grandmother used to! WAIT, I am going to be a grandmother in Sept!!! So I can sound like one! LOL

My DH has "game nights" 2 days a week. Sometimes it's more like 3 nights a week. I'm grateful he's not on every day, but he does play with his buddies from work. It used to be 7 days a week for hours on end, so I think we're doing pretty good now!

Is there any way that you could work your gardening into doing some gardening on school grounds. I know from experience at our school that the cleaner and nicer the school is the less trash and vandelism. I would look into maybe doing either container gardening or finding an area to spruce up. I am hoping to do more of this this summer at our school. Stacie

Our entertainment center is quite a bit larger but...We did storage for various video/ audio components and DVD's/CDs in our built in. We put regular cabinets on the bottom and hid everything behind closed doors. We used an infrared receiver in order to be able to use the remote while the doors are closed. The top was more like a bookcase with a space sized for the flat screen which we mounted to an articulating arm. For CD/DVD storage we had 2 narrow glass front 12" deep cabinets. I've also seen CD/DVD storage concealed in narrow pullouts or in drawers as well.

The 3 GB's all have hand held DS or DSI's.
From what I've seen they played the heck out of them when they got them for Christmas and now they mainly get played in the car on trips?
When they bring them here now, they aren't played with a lot, in fact sometimes I wonder why they even bring them here! LOL Guess its like I said in the car to occupy themselves. Although I do know DS and Maddie love to play "I Spy" while they are making the long 4 hour trip between them.
My kids had the Nintendo and Super Nintendo, they played them more in the winter than spring,summer and fall.
