Who's your favorite Bond (James Bond)? Fave Bond movie

I'm probably in the minority -- have never seen a Bond movie, not even a clip.

But maybe I'll add one to my "movies-to-watch list."

Now, which one?

(And, no, I didn't watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics and the Bond moment!)

Sean Connery!

I don't have a favorite movie, but Sean Connery is by far the best Bond.

I'm going through this dilemma now; what tile to choose for a galley kitchen back-splash. So many choices. Palimpsest's post made me sit up and take notice. I'm in a 1950 cottage-ranch style home; shingled on outside with some elements from pre-WWII. The galley kitchen makes me want to keep everything simple and streamlined and uncluttered so no busy mosaics for me. I keep coming back to a running bond design either in subway tiles or square tiles. What I am wondering though is whether a mini-subway tile on mesh is easier to install than the usual 3x6 tiles. I've read that the tiles on the mesh backing often pop off and are not spaced uniformly which makes the grout off kilter.

Way way too many to list, or even to bring to mind! My top one is probably Canon in D - My heart turns over when I listen to that song. Second, maybe River Dance. I love so many that are already listed in this thread. Someone mentioned Oh Danny Boy and in that same category is Loch Lomand, two ancient songs that I've sung thousands of times. Used to sing them to my kids when they were babies and still sing them to myself from time to time. I have some favorite hymns... Amazing Grace and This is my Father's World are a couple. Unchained Melody - Wonderful song mentioned above. Many others. I love country western and old time rock. My list would be dozens if not hundreds!

Vee, yes they were born to herd...not with their eyes but with their teeth!!!! However, they are smart little rascals and can learn "household manners" with some effort. We only rescue corgis now...our old man, Jay, is 14 and would have failed severely as a working cattle dog I'm afraid. He only bites FOOD!!!! :^0)))) Our latest, Brady, is with us (at 8) because his family took in 4 grandchildren (4,5,6 and 6) who roughhoused as you can imagine those 4 would and Brady thought it was open season on herding them ... hence nipping at the heels/rear ends!!!!!! The first morning we had him and I took them on their first-of-the-day "constitutional" up the road, even on a long line he tried it with Jay. With ONE lesson of harshly-spoken NO WE DON"T DO THAT... he quit. When he tried it the next morning and I yelled HEY!!!! LITTLE MAN... he hasn't done it since, though it's in his nature and he dearly loves to charge the critters on the porch knowing there is a screen door there. HAHAHHAA... they are lovely "little dogs in big-man clothes". The trick for the most part is not letting them get away with something to begin with... in our relaxed life, not with the true working, herding corgi. Would love to have seen that little guy hanging onto the kine tail!!!!!!!!! smile

Does anyone every find themselves quoting something that isn't a movie? I found myself saying, "Isn't. That. Amazing." in the most bored tone of voice I could muster. I knew it was a quote from somewhere, but couldn't recall from where. Finally it dawned on me that it was from the narration from Disneyland's Jungle Cruise. In addition to "Squirrel!" from Up, other Pixar quotes that have become household phrases for us are "Mine! Mine! Mine!" (the seagulls in Finding Nemo) and the "cone of shame" (also from Up). "No capes!" from the Incredibles also gets pulled out with fair regularity. And, oddly enough, "Curse you, Mr. Skipperdoooooooo!" a paraphrase from the "Adventures of Mr. Incredible" short that was included on the Incredibles DVD (here it is with commentary).

My favourite bond is Pierce Brosnan. Ohhhh so gorgeous.
The new one is very popular.....he's brought the ruggedness back.

They are all so different, but my favorites are The World is Not Enough and The Living Daylights. GoldenEye was pretty funny in parts, but the Famke Janssen role was a little too overt for my taste.

All of them that had Sean Connery in them. The actors that followed him just didn't have "it".

Sean Connery, of course. Though I admit I've only seen a few. I think my first was Goldfinger at a theater in Palo Alto, CA back in the early/mid 60ties. I guess I was intrigued with the Bond character rather than the movies themselves. Personally, I liked the Bourne movies better.

I would have said Sean Connery - but he has been replaced by Daniel Craig, in my book.

Sean Connery is my all time favorite Bond. Next would be Roger Moore. I never cared for Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan for this role.

Ian Fleming, the author of James Bond novels, has an interesting life himself which provided much of the background of his Bond novels.
