Update On Grandson Nathan

Here is the latest update on my grandson Nathan. I know everyones prayers are the reason. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please keep them coming.

Hello,

Another good week to report. Nathan's blood looks good and his weight is still staying the same.

Both Doctors are pleased with how he is doing. It seems like every

week they ask "How are you doing"? and Nathan says good. But this week he told them "I feel better this week" meaning his head rushes are fewer. The week that we started radiation he was having around 10 a day, then down to about 5 or 6 a day the next week, and this last week he thinks maybe he has had around 4 the whole week. He also says he has to stop and think "Did I just have one"? , so they are not as strong as before.

Dr. Lin (radiation oncologist at the Med Center)really liked hearing this and has decided to have another MRI done next Thursday.

We are hoping that it is shrinking, but she mentioned even if it stays the same size that is good, just as long as it is not getting bigger. Please everybody pray hard for this.

Nathan is still going none stop everyday. He had a great time at the College World Series. Thank you Carson's. Jeff and Nate left last night for the cabin to start those fishing lines. I have already heard a report of one 3lb catfish and about a 5lb drum. Nick and I are heading up in about an hour. Nates cousin from Colorado and grandma LuLu are also up staying along with Grandma Nita and Ya Ya coming later. Busy weekend.

I hope to get some more recent pictures on this site with Nick's help. I'm not real skilled when it comes to the computer.

Nathan's picture. I don't know if I posted this before or not. His hair is shorter now, because he cut it before he started his radiation treatments, in case it started falling out. It didn't.

He continues to be in my healing prayers. Good news about the shrinkage of the tumor but bad news about his feeling worse after treatment. Hugs to you, too, Leslie.

You mentioned the MRI's Does your Dr or medical center use Pet Scan? They do here as it is not as hard on some of the organs,like liver etc. and it shows more cancer. DH is getting ready to do his third one. But he also gets checked for bladder cancer. His other cancer seems to be in remission at this time. He just had a Ritouxin treatment, again not as hard as some of the other drugs he has had. I do wish you the best and the water therapy is great. They use it here also, I think. Marie

Leslie, Nate is in my thoughts alot lately. I hope his newest treatment can help shrink the tumor very soon. This was Jan. 9th of course. Your work on this benefit brought happy tears to my eyes. Your whole family did an amazing job. Nate had sooo many friends there. Watching Nate's friends lining up to talk with him and I could see their love for him as they each took a turn. Shoot. I'm trying to get a picture of him, but I don't know how to do it on this new computer with Vista.
I guess you could become a memeber on Care Pages, get a password, then go in and see his entire Page. His title page is Nate1992.

I have some cheap software that lets me do simples stuff like cut and paste from Web sites, and a bunch of fancy stuff that I can barely manage to understand. It's fun to play with. :-)
