I am considering buying the Viking VEDO5302 Infrared Double Oven and would like to know what others think about it. In particular, is the electric infrared broiler worthwhile or is it a gimmick feature? It is 10 pass at 3,200 watts. I'm looking for an electric oven that can get as close as possible to restaurant quality searing, so any other recommendations are welcome. Another alternative would be the Thermador Pro Series which has a 12 pass broiler at 5,000 watts, but that doesn't have infrared.
