Ultracraft or 6 Square cabinets?
Comments (2)Hi Skuba. Got your email but it said I could not reply directly back to you. I have not gotten my cabinets yet. They are ordered and coming about the end of the month. I ordered Shaker Wide in Low Sheen Artic White. I can tell you that I do like that the fact that they are frameless. I don't have the biggest kitchen so the extra storage will help. I also like that they are semicustom so I could order a cabinet at 26 inches (instead of 27 inches). I'm located in NY and I believe that each Ultracraft vendor has different pricing so you may want to check another vendor near you. Not sure what else I can tell you since I don't have the actual cabinets yet. Let me know if you have specific questions....See MoreCWP Cabinets versus Conestoga cabinets
Comments (11)You're comparing wine with grapes, and a wooden vat in which to stomp them, plus a couple of bottles thrown in to put the results in. You might end up in the same place, but if you don't have the skills and patience, you surely won't. You really need to order a sample cabinet and put it together yourself. IF you own the right tools and are fairly handy, then you can get good quality results. ''High quality'' results in cabinetry isn't just about the flat pack materials. It's about the assembly and install as well. And the design. You have to know how to design in the proper details. Most amateurs will fall flat in that department because they don't know what they don't know. I've done thousands of kitchen remodels. You do end up learning a thing or two from that....See MoreNeed help from Conestoga cabinet owners.
Comments (1)I ordered a test wall cabinet from a Conestoga reseller. The front face frame stile grooves are 17/32-in wide. The walls are 15/32-in thick so this leaves a 1/16-in gap. I don't think it will glue up well, the reseller says it's normal. Could someone look underneath their Conestoga wall cabinets and measure the width of the stile groove in their face frame. Do you have a gap? Thanks in advance....See MoreHow much filler space do I need for cabinets between walls - conestoga
Comments (8)You can not do an inset design of this complexity without an experienced kitchen designer on board, designing this for you. There will be thousands of dollars in mistakes, just due to you not knowing how and what to measure. You don’t know what you don’t know. Inset is not putting together a prefab doghouse. It’s building a space shuttle. 1/16” matter. Having a skilled installer also matters. It does no good to add extended stiles if someone has no clue how to scribe them to make them work. This is high level cabinet installation. Not throwing apartment level boxes on a wall with a couple of screws. You have to design to the level of skill of the installer. Or there’s also thousands in errors that happen. A DIY job is designed differently than one for a skilled and experienced cabinet installer. The installer won’t need to know to do some things....See Morekpowers
