Custom cabinet maker SF Bay Area
Comments (7)We highly recommend Mark Daley of Woodsong Furniture - he's really a furniture maker who also builds custom cabinets on the side. He's making final adjustments on our house full of inset shaker-style cabinets right now. Several cabinets are custom designed (as in, we needed a solution for hiding dog crates, etc.). He's thoughtful, accomodating and value-oriented (offers options). I'd be happy to answer any specific questions about his work (off line, maybe?). We're really pleased thus far! Comments (4)We're in the western suburbs. On the recommendation of our GC We used Northstar cabinets in Posen (for kitchen, mudroom and 4 bathrooms) and were very happy with them. This was 3 1/2 years ago. http://www.northstarcabinet.com/ (I did try going through them last summer for an additional mudroom cabinet and had a hard time getting a quick response, so I don't know if that was due to it being just a small order or what.) A friend of mine is a designer who has done several kitchens in the western suburbs and north shore. She uses Brakur and has been very happy with them: http://www.brakur.com/ Finally, 3 people I know used Amish cabinet builders and got beautiful cabinets for what they felt was a really good price. Their contact was Mike Spence so I Googled him and found him here: Amish-Craft 400 Elm Street Humboldt, IL 61931 (217) 856-3811 HTH...See MoreCustom cabinet maker in the Boston area

Comments (6)Thank you all for the great input I will check them out in few weeks. We will start demo at the beginning of March. I hope I can stay in budget. have done remodel before, knowing I have tendency to go over:). I have Omega cabinet(overlay door with ivory paint and glaze) in our hall bath, they are very good, but not great. I was wonder why it was not appealing to me after installed. I finally find out that all the cabinets I loved haveinset doors, which I was not aware and did not told by the designer I bought the cabinet from until I discovered this forum. For what I paid to get Omega, I would have got better cabinet. but I have to say I have no complain about finish and quality for passed 3 years. But it is hall bath, it get used when my Mom over to stay or our friends stop by occasionally, and no kids in the house. I am on the eastside too...See Moreakshars_mom
