New Electrolux Induction range - problems with cookware

Hi,

We just bought an Electrolux induction freestanding range. Before we bought it we tested our current cookware (Lifetime stainless steel) with a magnet, all of it was magnetic except for one pot. Now that the stove is here we've tried the cookware on the burners matching them to the correct size. When I put a pot on the burner and turn it on, the touch screen burner ring turns red for a second or two and then the red goes away and the burner turns off. I've tried the burner with a cast iron casserole dish and it works perfectly. I'm confused now because everything I've read says that if your cookware is magnetic it should work on induction. So I'm wondering why my cookware isn't working.

If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Juli
