need help with kitchen wall color!

I am in the process of brand new kitchen. Here it goes: Very Dark Cherry Java cabinets, brushed nickel knobs, crema bordeaux granite - counter tops and island, cream porcelain 18X18 floor tile, stainless steel appliances. Now, what color should the walls be? I don't have pictures yet, because the kitchen is still in the drywall, electrical stage, but contractor is asking me to pick wall paint - what do you think?

Does your kitchen open up to another room?..i.e. a family or great room? If so, what color is that room painted? If not, what kind of colors do you like?....warm, cool? Do you want a neutral color or something with a little more pizzaz?

THanks for helping- this is my first time posting. The dining room is actually connected to my kitchen and most of the painted walls will be in the dining room - it's kind of like one huge dining/kitchen room - I am thinking of a warm neutral color. the same in the kitchen as the dining room.

I'd be tempted to try painting the walls man cave first. I think it could look stunning with your cabinets and go a long way toward making your kitchen look sleek. If you have the $$ for it, I'd consider changing out your countertops to something less yellow. If you find a laminate you like in stock at a big box store you can change out the counter yourself for just a couple hundred dollars - and it's easier than painting the cabinets. While you have the countertop off, maybe put up a new backsplash behind the sink - something high contrast with both lights and darks in it. And ... voila! New kitchen!

I really like the fabric you have chosen for your curtains. Reminds me of a store we once had called Laura Ashley. -Well...I think you should find a gorgeous cream, thick white/eggshell and paint your kitchen walls this colour as it carries into you dining area (there is not visual break). It has to complement this area at the same time. All four walls in kitchen area white, so no accent wall. (Yes, this includes the wall we see that leads into the living room). -Go with that gorgeous darker of the two greens for your upper cabinets and white again for your lower cabinets. The standing cabinet surrounding the fridge can also be the same green, with your island remaining white OR be white, again with your island remaining white. Keep in mind your appliances are black. White ones would be best but another time. **When you paint your island white, keep the knobs black. This ties in with your curtain rod above the glass doors as well as your appliances. -Please, please buy the kit that allows you to get a granite look for countertops and apply to both cabinet and island countertops. -Since you will be in painting mode, I would recommend also painting out the living room the same white until you find a colour for it that allows the eyes to transition naturally from kitchen/dining to living room. It will feel like the Hamptons for a little while. My two cents worth.

Dark-Gray Mirage , light -White dove matte finish Not sure about blues so maybe share the color of blue . It also is always good to show all the choices already made and for sure the floor color .
