prep sink close to main sink, should faucets match?
Comments (8)Either same faucet different finishes (I'd never have answered that was if I'd not have seen the lovely kitchen above) or same finish, no need to match. What would look bad would be two different finishes and styles in the same kitchen. My faucets (I have three) are all different, all within six feet of each other...and the only thing they have in common is the same finish. They look great and each functions as it should for the area it serves....See MoreSame faucet for main sink and prep sink?
Comments (1)It would be very nice, but not necessary. I have two different faucets. Complimentary in design, and same in finish, but very different. Either way is lovely. Ivette vs....See Moreok to have prep sink faucet different finish to main faucet?
Comments (12)Oh, forgot to tell you...yes, I do like it. It's easy to use and when I'm filling a pot I leave the pot on the counter and just pull out the faucet head and hang it on the pot edge. I then let it fill...hands free! This is especially handy when I'm filling the 5-gallon bucket for the fish tank. Once that bucket is full, it's too heavy (for me) to lift it out of a sink and then over. It's so much easier to put the bucket on the counter, fill it, and then just ease it off the counter. I have a confession to make, I think I actually like the pull out functionality better than the pull down...I know, it flies in the face of the trend and opinions of most people here... Don't get me wrong, I really like my Vinnata and it works great for the Cleanup Sink; but for prepping, I find the pull out more useful and easier to use. I'm glad I have one of each...I have all the pros of each and those pros counteract the negatives of the other....See Moreprep faucet for main sink -- question about reach
Comments (14)We bought a Kohler Vinnata 10 years ago when we remodeled our home. There is a full size version and a prep sink version. We opted for the smaller prep sink because like you, I thought the full size version was way too big. Our sink is a Shaw's farmhouse. I know its 30" long, but I can't remember how wide it is....18" sounds about right. It's a plenty big sink. Anyway, I wish we had gone with the bigger faucet. Our problem has been the amount of splashing behind the sink, specifically around the faucet itself. There is always water pooled there and I attribute it to the fact the faucet doesn't reach far enough into the sink. I will say other than the splashing problem, the faucet has been great. Water flow is fine and the hose reaches everywhere it needs to. We are building a new house now and we will definitely be putting in a larger faucet with a deeper reach....See Morejanealexa
