new floor under fridge?

I have been lurking for eons, planning my big kitchen remodel, but now we have decided to sell this house and move. So we decided to update our old kitchen, to hopefully make it more appealing to buyers. We are painting honey-colored oak cabinets white, doing new hardware, and for now will leave our neutral laminate counter tops. But our floor is some sort of sheet product, I'd guess vinyl? And it is cracked and torn in places, so it desperately needs to be replaced.

The problem with replacing the floor is that our new SS french door fridge *just* fits under the cabinet above it, so if the floor gets raised at all, we'll have a big problem on our hands. We could do another sheet product, but I'm afraid it's really not in keeping with the pricepoint or style of our "vintage" home--the rest of our house is hardwood, but this kitchen was a mid-century conversion of an old sunroom or porch, so it doesn't have hardwood underneath--bummer!

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
