Cabinets are in, help with stove wall needed

Yay, my cabinets are in. The cabinet install actually happened while we were away Thanksgiving week. It was a little nerve-wracking having them installed in absentia but I love my cabinetmaker so I just left it up to them.
These pictures are not the best quality as they are just from my phone due to ongoing issues with my husband's good camera.
The cabinets are very simple: it is all about the wood and the walnut is luminous. I was a little nervous about the island color, but I am really pleased, it is BM Providence Olive. The countertops will be Madre Perla and they were actually templated on Friday.

There will be a tall hutch over the right most lower in the last picture.
The countertop material will be continued up the wall to the bottom of the window sill under the sink. I am debating just doing Madre Perla behind the stove or just tiling the entire stove wall to the bottom of the hood. This is the stove wall, what do you think?

Love the football in the island niche. It looks like a lovely kitchen in the making. I would think tiling the entire range wall to the level of the hood would be the yin to the yang of the double windows. Balance it out.

Since that wall is completely framed in the wood, have you considered tiling the whole wall?

Your cabinets are beautiful! And I also love the football accessory. I can imagine the same thing happening in mine. :-)

Is that a pot that can be removed from the well? If not, how do you drain it? I've never seen anything like that - of course, I have only seen really old wood or gas ranges (1930's and earlier) or 60's and later electric in any of my family's houses. No one could afford new stoves in the 40's and 50's. It does remind me of my MIL's old range in that it has the wonderful "countertop" right next to the burners, for when they didn't have built-in cabinets in the kitchen, just a table and sink, some open shelves or tall cupboard/pie safe.

need to find THOR triple wall stove pipe? any help would be great

I live outside of Syracuse, and checked some old phone books, and couldn't find "Thor" listed at all. When we purchased our stove this year, I asked about triple wall stove pipe, and was told that it is not allowed in code any more...(I guess code is now double wall insulated stove pipe), so maybe they went out of business.

Judiegal, do you mean building my own? That's an idea I hadn't thought of. What kind of material do you think I would use for the door and how would I lock it? Vanpiressrn, good website. It helps that they have videos. Looks like the best one for my situation is quite pricey. I'll contact them to see if they have another suggestion. Thanks

Frame it out with 2x4's, or 2x3's, either one. If you get the framing attached to the wall and adjacent tall cabinets, it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm with rhome410. When I saw the picture I thought it should be all tile. It will be beautiful no matter what though.

LOL about the football accessory it is an excellent representation of our family. If only there were two lacrosse sticks on top of the island, it would have been perfect.
I do love my cabinets, thank you for agreeing they are pretty :) The pictures really don't do them justice, they just glow.
Rhome, I never thought about that wall as being framed in wood, that image gets my brain ticking.
I went out and looked for tile this morning and did some soul searching. I was feeling under pressure to make a decision about the stone slab behind stove vs. tile because the fabricators are reviewing the templating today with the slabs to see if there even is enough stone to do it. I was contemplating the stone slab mostly so that I could be done, I think. I realized that I always planned tile on that wall and that I need to be patient a bit longer and keep true to my vision.
So now that I have made the decision not to do the slab, I have breathing room to find the perfect tile as well as to decide where to end it. I am still far from finished, but that's OK.
