backsplash ... how many rows of glass between subway tile?
Comments (15)rufinorox, have you considered how the dimensions of the tile would work with 2 vs 3 rows? will you have to have a row at the top of just a sliver of subways with one configuration and not the other? It might not be very visible from a distance especially with matching grout, but up close it might seem jarring. BTW - you are doing an amazing job with your kitchen. Comments (2)I would do subway tile with your busy granite and floor tile, but I'd use a mosaic accent because you like rich color and detailing. I think you'll be unhappy with a plain subway. I'm not a fan of square accent tiles though. They've been around too long and are boring. I'd get some of the skinny strips....See More4 x 12 plank travertine ... backsplash?

I just wondered if I'm missing something, using a typical floor tile size on a backsplash. Comments (30)I just wanted to let anyone know that i went with ivory glass subway tiles and grouted a little lighter than i had originally planned. The grout matches the cupboards so it darkens the tiles. I’m adding the pics. Thanks...See Moreschicksal
