Comments (9)Thank you all so much for your quick responses!!! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures yet since we are still under construction. As far as some of the questions...I would say we are more contemporary and elegant. We are open to all tile material, but probably lean more towards ceramic and glass. The walls in the kitchen are Nugget by Benjamin Moore. The Island cabinets are Cinnamon Glaze and the floor is Brazilian Tigerwood. The sink, faucet, pot filler and appliances are stainless. Another question, we are undecided about the cabinet hardware. Is it ok to do Antique Bronze hardware with stainless faucets/appliances and satin nickel mountings for pendant lights?...See MoreCabinet/Floor/Granite, what backsplash?!
Comments (2)ha, thank you. That was my thought as well but my wife wasn't so hot on the deal. I'm not one known for making good color combinations so her skepticism was warranted...See MoreTan brown granite countertops - need suggestions for backsplash
Comments (16)I like glass tiles and tumbled: I believe it all depends on the look you are going for in your house: also: budget! Glass is expensive: But I love it! I would rather have the granite I want: and have that stand out: and not my splash. I would want all eyes on my granite. That is my opinion. With Tan brown granite: I can see that the splash could stand out more vs. the granite. Picture posted looks great! That splash is way more eye catching vs the Tan brown granite Best wishes!...See Morefantasy brown granite w/ Sunset cherry cabs : backsplash assistance
Comments (13)Watch out for trying to mix cool grays with warm oak. Small amounts work OK. A gray backsplash would have gone with my countertops - but would have been drab with my warm wood. Warm wood tones and cool grays do not bring out the best in each other which is why the gray is usually paired with white. Gray is a bit overused right now which means it risks being labeled "dated" in the next 10 years though it will always be an important neutral - like cream and beige. Go ahead and try it in wall color that can be easily changed but be careful of using too much in more permanent surfaces. The grays in your countertop read warm which is why it is working with your cabinets. Consider your wall color last as it is the least permanent surface and easy to change....See Moreremodelfla
