Has anyone ever seen/used these tiles?

So I found these tiles in the builder's standard and would like some input. They look like travertine or marble...but made on ceramic. How popular are these tiles? Are they suitable for one area of the house vs another? I searched but couldn't find any info on them. We'll have creama marfil marble in the foyer, so trying to find a tile that will go in the kitchen and all the bathrooms in the builder's standard selection. Would these imitations look cheap? Are we better off just selecting a regular tile. I really like the patterns on these 2 but at the same time have never seem them used in an actual space so no idea how they would look in a large space.

Also the builder is charging $725 to lay them in a brick pattern, the kitchen is around 225sq. So works out to $3/sq...is it worth it? Or should we just lay which ever tiles we pick in a regular pattern.
