Kitchen Sink Size?

Hi all. I am a long-time lurker, first-time poster. I appreciate all of the time and knowledge that everyone shares on this forum.

My question is whether an undermount SS kitchen sink measuring 19" front to back (that is the exterior dimension--i.e. including the flange--the interior dimension is either 17" or 18" depending on the make/model) is too big to allow for most faucets to fit properly (and have the controls work!) behind the sink. This would be the primary sink, in a standard depth kitchen cabinet with no bump out and a 3/4-inch stone back splash. It seems tight to me, but I am wondering if there are any "industry-standards" for a maximum size sink in a standard-depth countertop.

Thanks in advance for any insights into this and I hope I included enough information.
