Diamond cabinet brand buying in kitchen store vs big box
Comments (2)When I was buying and researching a few years ago, the construction specs for Diamond and Thomasville were not exactly the same. The backs of the Diamond were thicker than the Thomasville for one thing. I can't remember off hand if there were other differences. Looking at Thomasville and Diamond catalogs, they look exactly alike....See MoreDiamond brand cabinets in bathroom?
Comments (1)Spoiler alert: this is kind of a dumb question. We redid our kitchen six years ago and used Diamond cabinets (from a kitchen shop, although they're also sold at Lowes.) They've held up just fine in a heavily trafficked kitchen. Fast forward to today, we're in the midst of a reno/addition. We need to order cabinets for 3 purposes: a few extras for the kitchen to replace a banquette with a small peninsula; built-in storage for our living/dining room; and vanities for 3 bathrooms. It seemed to me that the easiest thing to do was to use Diamond for all these cabinets. But is there something I'm missing here? The Fergusons rep I've been using for the plumbing fixtures seemed a bit shocked at the concept of using them for bath vanities. She implied I was going high-end custom, which is not at all how I'd think of Diamond. In fact I figured it might be less expensive than the $2k Strasser or James Martin 48" vanity. Anything else I should know here? Is Fergusons the wrong place to do this?...See MoreLooking for best color match for Diamond brand white cabinets
Comments (3)Have you contacted Diamond. Or asked Lowe’s to do so.? We just installed a factory finish color on our house and they gave us touch up paint as well the formula was readily available at Sherwin Williams . I’d go to Diamond either the local technical rep or thru email into their system technical support or customer service to get the formula . it should not be a mystery if it’s exact match you want altho I don’t know why . Often trim is differentiated by a shade or two....See MoreDiamond Cabinets from Lowes
