To my eye, Delorean Gray does have a bit of blue in it. I'd call Custom's tech support line with the brand of admix you used, as well as any info you have regarding the tile. Most grouts are already modified, using another company's admix in addition? It could have created problems. Or not. Even if it was a Custom admix, I don't believe they recommend adding admix to their already modified grouts, it's pretty much just for their saltillo grout which is a different from their regular grouts. Custom does have caveat in their installation or whatever literature, essentially warning that using colored grouts on rough or textured tile may cause staining. They recommend a sealer prior to grouting. You can also ask them about how to remove the residue. This is such a timely thread for me. The fact that it was revived at this particular time feels like synchronicity at work. I'm in the process of refinancing and considering a cash-out to improve my humble abode both inside and out. It's not the home of my dreams, but it might just allow me to have a second house in a warmer climate as I approach retirement and that's worth a lot to me. The good news is my appraisal came in yesterday really high. The bad news is that my appraisal came in yesterday really high! lol I was thinking I'd get at least 50-75% back out of the improvements I make, but I'm really not seeing how I could get more than 1/4 back after I saw that appraisal number. With my neighorhood and my square footage, I fear I'm getting close to the ceiling even with crappy windows, doors, and siding - and an outdated kitchen and floorplan. Oh, and floors! That seems so bizarre to me, but I have 24 hours to process it and decide whether I want to refinance the existing mortgage or how much to cash out for improvements. It might dry lighter, so I'd wait till it's fully dried, but I had to paint grout once and it's not that difficult, it also acts as a sealer, so don't seal you grout, it will prevent the paint from adhering well. Do a small sample and wait for it to dry, it dries lighter. Another option is to mix white grout paint with water and "white wash" the grout until you get the color you want. Whatever you do, wait till the grout has had time to cure. I always recommend doing a sample board up with you choice of grout before you commit. Grout isn't that expensive and sometimes the coloring samples aren't very accurate. I just hot glue some tile to cardboard and mixed a little water with the grout and it gave me a much better idea, what the finished product would look like.

Scrap wood is certainly fine and it what I use in my garden. First make sure the box is located where it will get at least 6-8hrs of direct (no shade) sunlight, not daylight but direct sun. This is so the tall plants don't block the sun. Spacing can be taken from the seed packet - use the seed spacing after thinning since you won't be thinning. Draw it out on paper to see if you will have room for what you have planned. Keep a Garden Notebook. Each spring review what went well last year and what needs improvement. Winter is a good time to plan the next garden layout, plants, etc. Start small and try to avoid overcrowding. If you want more plants next year make another box. Cherry tomato plants tend to grow very tall (vines) and will provide lots of tomatoes. I am so glad you are teaching your son to garden.
