Small faucet for prep sink with pulldown sprayer - does it exist?

I have looked all over online and can't seem to find anything that fits what I am looking for. I am looking for a small faucet to go with my prep sink. The sink/faucet will be underneath cabinets (18inches from countertop) so I am looking for the high arc "style" but at a lower height - 11 inches spout height or less. The other must-have is a pulldown sprayer. I prefer it to be one handle, just to keep things looking simple and unfussy. Does such a product exist? Should I go ahead with a taller, more typical-height faucet? I feel like the scale would be off. But I am starting to drive myself nuts with this search! Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

The Kohler Purist line has smaller faucets with pullout, the 7505 and 7506, and they have a more contemporary look. I have the larger (just over 11" high) at the cleanup sink, and the smaller (just under 10") at the prep sink.

Our Kohler Simplice retracts and stays in place better than our Elkay Moda, but like Breezy, I know part of the problem is too much stuff under the prep sink that interferes with how the weight works on the hose. I love having the pull downs. We've had ours over 4 yrs. Misslivvy, other things you might want to watch for is if the pull down actually has a spray option (the Simplice does and the Moda doesn't, so I miss that feature at the prep sink), and whether the spray option stays engaged when you're not holding the button and after you turn it off. It's nice not to have to hold the button down, but also, it's frustrating when the kids engage the spray and it comes on the next time I turn on the faucet and don't expect it. ;-) As Breezy said, also, I only find splashing to be a problem with user error... When we hold things in the stream of water too high and too close to the faucet. I imagine it depends on the depth of the sink, too....But ours aren't super deep. (7-9")

Love, love, love my MGS progetti Vela D. Stainless steel, pull down spray, and the head does not get too hot to touch. It works beautifully. All our friends love to do the dishes when they come over for dinner!! And customer service is awsome. Eric Goldman is the distributor down in Fl and he's very responsive. I chose the Rohl Country faucet to go over my Shaw's 30" farmhouse sink, instead of my original first-choice, the Kohler Vinnata, so it's funny that they're all mentioned here! I originally wanted the Vinnata because I liked the pull-down style, but ended up with the Rohl because: - Several people I talked to said they had to futz with weights to get the Vinnata pull-down to work right. Not a big deal, but something. - The pull-down part of the Vinnata that you'd hold in your hand while spraying felt (and looked, but that's personal) a little big and clunky in my hands. - The Rohl's unique button-style spray activator works really well and is easy to operate, no rubber buttons. It also stays in spray mode without having to hold a button or anything, as the Vinnata does too. (Many faucets, like the Grohe, you have to hold a button for the spray, unacceptable to me.) - I got to try the Rohl with water in a store, and was blown away with well the lever action worked. It was an instant win. I'd tried a friend's Vinnata once, and it seemed fine, but the Rohl and I clicked. - I LOVE the white porcelain handle accent on the Rohl! Of course, I'm blowing smoke here 'cause my faucet is still in a box and I haven't used it yet. I spend more time with my kitchen faucet than I do with my husband (and he doesn't spend enough time with the kitchen faucet, but that's another story). I'm just about married to the thing, so money was (almost) no object. This wasn't the place to save a few hundred dollars or make a snap decision (not unlike choosing a husband :) ).

I had this same question and kept a log for few days of when I use the pulldown sprayer the most - I used it most for prepping veggies (washing spinach, fruit etc.) as well as cooling blanched veggies, rinsing pasta for salad etc. For clean-up, we mostly scrape and load the DW.. so it is mainly to clean the sink to rinse everything down the drain. My DH who is the main clean-up guy opted to get a wall mounted faucet from Chicago faucet instead of a pull down version. He was more annoyed by the crud that would collect at the base of faucet that he was willing to forego the sprayer for an articulating wall mounted. I on the other hand absolutely need it at the prep sink. The quality of the pull down hose is a major source of annoyance for me. But thankfully based on advice of kind people at GW, I tried and ended up buying a Moen faucet with the reflex technology that makes the hose retraction smooth. For touchfree operation, tapmaster definitely. No one I knew had it in the kitchen but my kind dentist let me play with it for 10 minutes :)

The smaller version of the Blanco Culina should be out by December or January. I like the quality of the original enough that I'd be tempted to put in a cheap $30 box store faucet "for now" and then change it out when it became available.

Fouramblues and GreenDesigns, Thank you for those ideas. I should have put in my original post that my budget is $300. :/ Do you know of any that come in under that price point? Thanks for any suggestions!

My Moen Brantford prep faucet is about 13" high, taller than you mentioned but it fits very well under my upper cabinets which are about 18" over the counter. It's a high arc with a pullout sprayer and a single handle. It's a traditional(ish) design, but you might look at Moen's other prep/bar faucets if you prefer a more modern style. (p.s. The prices listed on the Moen and Kohler sites are higher than they are in the real world -- just in case you hadn't already realized that and in case it helps.)

I just went to ajmadison.com and searched for one-handled pullout (you won't find a pull down that short there) for $200-$300. There were plenty of options. So maybe have a look around some of the big online retailers to see if there's something you like.
